Hey November, what a dream you were and just the kind of month we all needed. A little time together, just us – the three musketeers. We have enjoyed easing into the weekends, days and nights taken at a much slower pace than usual for our little family. The type of weekends without plans, filled with snuggles and family time, full of the simple pleasures like watching movies and cosying up under blankets. The type of weekend we fail to plan for yet when they happen we are left feeling all gooey inside and looking forward to the next. These are the ones you often forget to plan amidst the madness but feel so thankful for when they arrive.
Way back at the beginning of November we escaped to the seaside for our annual winter break and I couldn’t resist packing the tripod. Despite sighs echoing from the boys we all had some fun and I know that they secretly like helping me to set up the shots, ok well maybe George does whereas Mr H just about understands that these photos make me smile and so goes with the flow. My Instagram husband, I do love him dearly. Thank you for putting up with me.
The weatherman had promised me a blue sky and sunshine and thankfully he didn’t fail me. The weekend was filled with that winter sunshine of dreams, a sunset and a sunrise that made me cry – thankfully I was out walking on my own so no one could see me shed a tear. There were blue skies, hot tea in our beach hut and walks through the sand dunes followed by hot, hot chocolate back at our apartment. One of my favourite months of the year for sure and quite unexpected. All month I have lived off that warm feeling inside from our weekend in Lytham and I am so so happy that the photo’s turned out as they did.
As I write this post, the Christmas songs are playing, the decorations are being unboxed and I am filled with so much excitement for the next few weeks. We have Disney coming in less than three weeks and oh my goodness we are so excited. And so, here are some things we have all been loving in November…
Mr H is loving… winter walks all wrapped up in our bobble hats, finishing the re-decoration of the playroom, booking a mini break to Windermere for our wedding anniversary during the Christmas break, visiting the Christmas Tree Farm and cosy Sundays watching movies (in between all the decorating).
George is loving… watching the fireworks at Alton Towers, being the star in our first Christmas advert with the lovely people over at Trentham Gardens (eek the final edit is due imminently), a new bobble hat and snood, a snowy day to pick out our Christmas trees and reading the Christmasaurus which he adored last year.
And lastly I am loving… Eggnog latte (can you ever have too many?), a weekend away to the Lytham St Anne’s to blow away the cobwebs, cosy blankets, ordering our first Super King size bed – I cannot wait to starfish in it and lastly my new look on this here blog.
A few more photo’s of our little family in November…
I have added this post to Jenny’s #MeandMineProject over on her blog Let’s Talk Mommy.

Brilliant! Well done on the photo, it’s a great capture. Best wishes for you and your family.
Love the beach hut photos. Looks like you had a beautiful day for it – it looks cold but you all look like you’re wrapped up very warmly. A super kingsize bed sounds heavenly – I could do with one of those! 🙂 #meandmineproject
