And so just like that the end of June has arrived on our doorstep. As I sit here on Saturday morning looking through my camera roll I am feeling quite emotional pulling together this months #MyFamilyAdventures post – it is the month our gorgeous boy turned 6 years old. The month we received his end of school year report and found out who his new teacher will be in Year 2 – so much has happened this month. Capturing our little family life one photo at a time really does make me smile. I’m already looking forward to going back through our adventures at the end of the year – it’s going to make such a lovely photo book and maybe even a gift for Nanny.

Let me take you right back to the beginning. Our month started at no other than Trentham Gardens enjoying the Wisteria Trellis – or that may have just been me whilst the boys kicked a football of course, it had us exploring Alton Towers as we finally took the plunge and purchased Merlin Annual passes – we even took George’s Uncle with us which meant Mr H and I could sneak on a couple of rides. We have eaten out at some gorgeous restaurants near and far – enjoying the evening sunshine which has to be one of my favourite things to do at this time of year.
In a flash the big trip to LEGOLAND arrived – we kicked off the birthday celebrations there and had so much fun. George loved the log flume and dragon ride, I did not like getting wet from head to toe on the log flume I tell you. We rested tired feet with wine and the most gorgeous of sunsets in Windsor – oh how I fell in love with the cobbled streets of Windsor.
And of course, the month ended (which is why this months round up is late) with a weekend of celebrations for our gorgeous boy – a tubing birthday party with 15 of his friends, an afternoon of present opening and building copious amounts of lego brick heads and a family meal after school on his actual birthday. And relax.
And that’s a wrap on June. An emotional and truly wonderful month with my boys filled with so much celebration and fun times, new experiences and old. July is a quiet month for our little family, with no real plans or dates in the diary. We’re building up to our summer holiday now in August which we are all really looking forward to, the sun just needs to pop his hat on for July as the last few days of June have been a wash out. Come on Mr Weatherman do you thing.
Once again thank you all so much for joining in with me in May, it was lovely to see some new faces. It would be great to see you add your June adventures below, whether a day out, a round up of your month as a family or even a holiday – please grab my badge or at least add a link to say where you are joining in so that people know where to find the link up. And of course I’ll see you in the comments, I am really looking forward to reading through your family adventures.
Gosh it’s been such a busy month for you! Beautiful photos – full of sunshine and happiness 🙂 I bet you feel like you need a quiet July after all those adventures.
Your months always sound jam packed, I honestly adore your photos and I am slightly envious that you went to legoland and Alton Towers in the month as I did that last June and didn’t replicate it this year. We had a much needed quite month at home but it still had lots of adventures. Thanks for hosting this lovely round up – I really enjoy it x
