Spring is here and here are some things I love about it. As nature starts its seasonal cycle anew, spring offers us a time for hope and renewal. I always view the start of spring as a time for rejuvenation, its a little like the start of a new year, a fresh start, a new wardrobe, a new skincare routine, fresh promises and making plans. I am so excited for all of the lovely things that Spring brings and so here are a few of my favourite things…
The thing I love most about spring is the sunshine and the light that wakes me in the morning as well as the extra in the evening. Very quickly followed by the clothing or should I say less clothing, tights, hats and scarfs are a distant memory very quickly replaced by bare ankles and necklines. Spring wouldn’t be so without a beautiful bunch of spring blooms, pinks, yellows and greens filling the streets as we stomp around the town.
And lets not forget, a little spring break, the feeling of sand in your toes, the skies filled with a powder blue colour and that feeling of the sun beating down on you as you run through sand dunes. Spring would not be spring without mini eggs, often the first Easter chocolate to arrive on the shelves. And lastly, that would be the school run. No longer do we need to drive in a bid to hide from the rain and cold, we can scoot, hop, skip and jump our way to the playground. I miss my days working from home when walking to school was the norm. One day, one day I will get that back.
What do you love about Spring?
I love seasons. I mean it, each one offers something new and each one has it’s own little special elements. Spring gives us colour and easter (i.e. chocolate mini eggs!), warmer weather and being able to go out without a big coat. I love this post, it’s so beautiful and makes me feel so optimistic for the months ahead.
I love spring as my birthday falls during Easter but I also love the brighter mornings, the blossoms already sprouting on the trees, the gradual warmer weather and that lovely morning feeling at waking up to a brighter day knowing that we have survived the dark winter months and pushed our way through to spring- yay!!! Roll on summer.
Aww does it, happy birthday for a few weeks time. I love seeing the blossom too, still hoping to see it x
I love Spring. I am no fan of the winter months (thank goodness we’ve got Christmas in the middle!) so love the blue skies and warmer days that come with Spring. These are gorgeous photos KA, you are so talented xx
Thank you so much lovely, you’re very kind. Half the time I think it is luck and the surroundings which make for a lovely photo x
I adore spring too – it always feels loads better too when we come out of Jan & Feb and the sun starts shining! Lovely photos and enjoy spring time xx
Thanks so so much Jess. I hope you’ve had a lovely weekend x
Spring is such a lovely time of the year. Perfect to get all excited for the sunshine of summer and get those gardens going and get out for fresh air and rid ourselves from that pesky thing we call winter blues. I couldn’t agree with you more. Love xmas but other than that winter isn’t my fave. Gorgeous photos hunny you look amazing as always. #wrc
Aww I can’t wait until we do some work on the garden, so nice to sit out in a morning or evening. I hope you are having a lovely weekend x
Beautiful photos lovely, I am so ready for Spring. The light evening this week have been bliss, the boys play on the playground outside school when the weather is nice and again in the garden when we get home – it’s so good to have the patio doors open while they potter in and out xx
Thank you so much Hayley, the extra light in the day pleases me so so much. We need to give our garden a bit of a spruce up x
It really does feel like a fresh start! I love the warmth and the lighter nights… Although it did snow here today (insert grumpy emoji!) xx
