Let’s do this. A new year wouldn’t be so without a little list or two, promises, big plans and grand adventures. I’m not one to make new years resolutions, when I have in the past they have literally just come and gone and so as a family we have come up with a different idea. Actually, it was last year when we started this little tradition, as a family we made promises and plans for the year ahead. And so, I thought it would be nice to sit down and look back at our promises from 2016 to see how well or not so well we did at sticking to them and secondly to make a plan for 2017.
Resolutions have never worked for me in the past, have they for you? For me it is all about pulling together a little wish list of all the things we would like to do whether big or small, improve on or even change. It really was so lovely to look forward into 2017 and make great ideas and pull together some cunning plans. Mr H and I have a few plans up our sleeve that we couldn’t mention to our gorgeous boy, we will keep them a secret for now. And so here are our wishes for 2017…
Mr H would like to…
- Book a couple of special trips for the Summer & December
- Pass his exams, he has 5 more to go
- Visit new places on our family adventures
- Get fit, enjoy running – feel healthier
- Enjoy more of everything he loves (he isn’t one for being specific)
Lil G would like to (in his words)…
- Learn how to read stories all by myself (Roald Dahl collection)
- Lets go to the beach more
- Ride on Dino the donkey (again)
- Go on more adventures
- Do little jobs for mummy and daddy to earn pocket money
And lastly I would like to…
- Learn more about photographing our little family
- Take Nanny & Grandad on a little holiday
- To share more fashion posts on my blog
- To enjoy mini breaks in different parts of the country
- Make more time for my friends
So here we are, as I put this post together the routine to work, school and routine is looming. We are all a little sad to be going our separate ways, I for one will miss my boys so much. If only I could speak to Lil G during the day like I can Mr H. For now I will think about all the little promises we have made and adventures we are planning. 2017 we are coming to get you.
