There’s no hiding that June for Our Little Family was mainly centred around one special little boys birthday. Despite his birthday being towards the end of the month, this year he was counting down right from the moment we turned the calendar over. His excitement was at its highest this year and what a wonderful month it has been.
If truth be told as a family we look forward to two months in the year, June and December. The two best months by far, so much celebration and precious family time, looking back and looking forwards to the twelve months ahead. As I look back through the photo’s in my cameral roll I am always taken aback by how many adventures we have had. This month has been blooming wonderful.
So, how did June look? Apart from the obvious birthday celebrations filled with some of the most special moments so far this year, we visited the beach which as I pull this post together is hard to believe given the rain and drop in temperatures ever since. We have been on long walks, climbed a mountain and had lazy park days with a picnic. I enjoyed a cheeky day at the Spa and lets not forget fathers day and the school run. To some the school run may seem everything other than an adventure but for Lil G and I we look forward to a Friday as it is my only chance to take him.
And so, here are quite a few moments from a month full of celebration, family time, spectacular moments, new memories and ordinary moments to be treasured forever…
Which brings me nicely to Lil G’s birthday celebrations. We headed to Chessington World of Adventure where we tried Glamping for the first time. Lil G had asked months ago if he could sleep under the stars for his birthday and so we did. After a day having fun at Legoland his day finally arrived. The day he turned five and a flip-tastic birthday party was how the day started. A Flip Out birthday party followed by Monster Shakes and an afternoon of playing with all his new toys. And here are a few photo’s for you…
And that’s a wrap for this month’s catch up on our little family adventures. How did June look for you?
KA x
Just look at the sun in those PHOTOS! Hard to believe it’s the same month! And the birthday celebrations look brilliant – the cake is wonderful and he looks like he had a lot of fun!
I know, it’s hard to believe it’s within the last few weeks, shame on the sunshine. We did have a lot of fun, Lil G enjoyed himself immensely
That cake is AMAZING! Wow. Looks like he had the best 5th birthday ever. Glad you got some time for you too xx
Aww thank you, it was as tasty as it looks. My friend did an amazing job although we were all eating cake for a week. You always have to sneak in a little time for you don’t you x
What a fantastic month for you all, and how awesome is the cake and the stormtroopper balloon. What an awesome birthday Lil G has had especially sleeping under the stars at Chessington. You seem to have packed lots into this month and gorgeous photos as always KA. We have had a good month and just counting down to the summer holidays now, which are less than a week away for the teen eek x
A wonderful month, had to be really with it being a birthday month. July has already been considerably slower. Enjoy the countdown to the end of term x
I think June brought you some lovely sunny days and a wonderful birthday celebration. 5 is such a grand age, and every reason to celebrate. We used to lived close to Chesterton and yet still I’ve never been before. I love the idea of the glamping there, what an adventure that would be and your park, beach and mountain photos look glorious too.
Thank you for popping by to share with me on #CountryKids
Thank you Fiona and congratulations on your award. It’s a super age, already we have said this could be our favourite, although I am sure I will say that each year!
Amazing photos! Looks like you had a fantastic month of June.
Oh we did, the best month, July is already much quieter
Sunshine and parties and a spa day – now that’s a perfect month! I’m a June baby too so I know what you mean about it being the second high point in the year after Christmas – it’s such a nice way to balance the year!
It was a pretty great month Carie. A great way to balance out the year, the perfect birthday month
It looks like you had an amazing month of June and little G had a fantastic birthday. I love how your photos are always so colourful and happy, they always make me smile. It was so lovely to meet you at long last this month too. x
Aww thank you lovely, it was really great to meet you finally. Such a treat and thank you for being so lovely. Have a lovely week x
That place is stunning! Your photos are so lovely and love looking at everyone of them. You have the loveliest June. #countrykids
It was a pretty special month, the best so far
What an amazing June you had! How did you fit it all in?! The sky in some of those photos is amazing, it is hard to believe we experienced the same June (I honestly don’t remember a day without rain from beginning to end). #CountryKids
It was a super month, I guess we enjoy being busy on a weekend what with working full-time. Oh crikey you have had rain all this time
I LOVE your photos. June as a part of your family looks lovely. Also, now I know where the sun has been!
Thank you Emma, we didn’t get it for too many days sadly
Your photographs are stunning – you make me want to start a photography course!
Aww thank you lovely, you should!
What fabulous photos! We have a June baby too. It is a lovely time of the year to celebrate. Such a gorgeous request to ask to sleep under the stars (your typo made me smile – more Harry Potter than Swallow and Amazons 🙂 ). Love the idea of a Flip Out birthday party. #CountryKids
Aww thank you, and thanks for pointing out the spelling mistake, I just corrected it. The party was super
Brilliant birthday month! Love your photos they are really well shot, very vibrant. Yay for glamping, so many tents, whenever I’ve seen a glamping site its been a few yurts or cabins. So many tents. Glad you had a good month #countrykids
