I can’t help but look back through my camera roll and smile. It will always be a favourite past time. Often it’s the last thing I do at night. I’m so glad that I do pick up my camera, that I try to captures moments in time. I really should print off more of the 1000’s of moments we capture. Whether it’s a month of family fun days out or a combination of illness and long lazy days I will always enjoy looking back. They are all moments to treasure. The Ordinary Moments. Little snippets of life as our little family.
February was a quiet month for our little family. I spent almost two weeks battling with a gastric bug. I always feel pained when I can’t get out and enjoy the fresh air of a weekend. My boys were very kind and certainly spoilt me with cuddles, cups of tea and flowers. Lil G passed a milestone at his swimming lessons which really makes me so proud, he tries so hard. The children in his class are 6 and 7 years old so really his efforts have to be applauded. We enjoyed long walks and trips to our local park and lets not forget trips to the library followed by a little lunch date with my gorgeous storm trooper.
A month for us wouldn’t be true without a lazy day curled up on the sofa reading books and watching movies. At the start of the month we made an extra special trip to our local ski centre. Lil G loves to sledge when it’s snowing so we thought we’d try our hand at tubing. A huge success. Highly recommended.
And here are a few of my favourite captures from a rather different February than January…
And so chapter 2/12 passes us by. With a blink of an eye we are already zooming through March. Looking back and putting together these Our Little Family Adventure round ups really will make me smile come the end of 2016. I hope for each month to be unique, to have it’s own flow of fun. I’m so excited to see what spring has in store.
How was your February?
KA x
Hello, I really love your blog and look forward to reading your updates. It’s given me so much inspiration and so many great ideas for seizing the moment and enjoying life’s little pleasures. We too are a 3 and my little boy is just a year younger than Lil G. Thank you again and I’m looking forward to seeing what spring has in store for you all x
I could look at your pictures all day KA as you capture your adventures so beautifully. What a wonderful month you have had, apart from the gastric bug which sounds horrendous suffering for 2 weeks. We had a fairly quiet February but we did manage a romantic night away in Chester. Oh and we transformed the playroom. Maybe not so quiet after all x
Aww thank you lovely. Sounds like you have been busy x
I love these little roundups, so full of colour and happiness. I love all your photos. The heart shaped toast is very cute. Sorry to hear you have been poorly lovely, that must not have been nice at all. Fingers crossed to a healthier and warmer March and april! x
Thanks so much lovely, i’m so glad I started to do them. I shall second the healthier and warmer march and april x
Oh what a lovely round up – and tubing looks like fantastic fun, frozen water slides are a winter sport I could definitely get behind! I hope you’re fully on the mend now, and roll on the spring with lots of lovely sunshine to head out and about in 🙂
Aww thank you, tubing was super. I am much better. Fingers crossed for some sunshine! x
