Goodbye January, Hello February. And what a first chapter of 2016 that was. But first I thought I’d share with you all the adventures we had along the way. A beautiful winters day deserves nothing more than a walk in the woods. A trip to the park. Sledging in the snow or even a spot of baking and a cup of tea to warm you up! That’s pretty much how our January has gone. It’s been blooming freezing. Long lazy days surrounded by beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Precious family time. And let’s not forget all the beautiful blooms and tasty rocky road.
January really has been super. It started with my birthday celebrations and ended with painting pottery for Mr H’s birthday. And so much in between. Life as our little family is pretty perfect right now. We have BIG plans for the year ahead. We’re hoping to take Lil G on his first sun holiday outside of the UK. We have a rather exciting trip planned for Christmas time and lets not forget all the little adventures along the way. The little and the big adventures are all wonderful in themselves.
Despite the good there will always be tough moments. Ones that you have to look beyond. Life can be incredibly tough at times, in all shapes and sizes. There have been a couple of really difficult moments this month but rest assured it is the little things which bring you back. The sound of Lil G laughing, holding his hand as we walk to school and watching over him as he grows up to be one beautiful little boy. Despite the tough moments, the worries of being a full-time working mummy, the guilt, the self doubt, I always make a point of looking for the good. I always look to be thankful for what a lovely and truly beautiful little family life we have.
I thought I would share with you some photo’s from our little family adventures in January. True to our promises we’ve taken it easy. We’ve totally and utterly enjoyed lazy days which has also given me an opportunity to practise with my new camera! I hope to do this every month…
Happy days. Chapter 1/12. I cannot wait to see what Chapter 2/12 brings for our little family. And so, how was your January?

What lovely photos! It looks like you have had a lovely January, despite the not so good times. I especially love the Daddy mug from your collage of photos! Our January has been very similar, though being in a new area, I am still searching for the nicest places to walk! A task for the next few months I think! x
Oh we enjoyed making the Daddy mug! I hope you find some nice walks x
I love this! Beautiful photos. I really want to sign up for that EQ course. I’ve done the free insta one, but I want to do the one you’ve done. x
Oh you should if you get some spare pennies. I feel so inspired x
Such beautiful photos lovely and it looks like January has been a lovely month for you, although I am sorry you have had some tough times. xx
Thanks so much, I’m really excited to learn more about my camera, it’s quite addictive x
