And just like that, another year of blogging is over…

And just like that, another year of blogging is over. It is that time of the year to recap my favourite posts and images. What a wonderful year it has been here on the blog, new opportunities, a new look and the inclusion of more of the little things I love. When I looked back over at some of the most popular and liked posts I was so happy and delighted to see that there were some mutual favourites. A mixture of the yukky love stuff, parenting posts and my love for fashion. And so I thought I would share them in a little blog post for you.

But first… To each and every one of you who have joined me in this journey, commented on my posts whether here or over on Instagram, talked to me, hugged me, asked me to work with them the biggest of thank you’s. It’s been emotional. To all the brands who have asked me to work with them in 2018, to be welcomed and trusted to represent your brand really is a true honour… I’ll see you in the new year! Wishing you and your families the most amazing NYE and start to the New Year. Sending you huge internet hugs and kisses.

I start each new year thinking will this year be as good as the last? And with a list of everything we want to achieve as a family but also just for me. In what has been my 6th year as a mummy and wife and nearly 4th year as a blogger (still winging it!!!), I’ve realised it’s not about comparison or about beating last year, its about being content with what I create, finding my own way and making the most of the moments in each year. It’s about enjoying the now, and making the most of the moments that happen right in front of me at that very time, whether that be a family holiday, a birthday, a blogging event, or day out. So 2017, you have been all things wonderful and ended incredibly emotionally, there have been endless memories made, friendships created, hugs, tears, huge steps for the boy in Year 2 and laughs; all things that I had hoped for as 2017 came to a close. Another chapter of life as our little family that I have adored.

We’ve travelled around the country – from Whitby to Pembrokeshire, to the Lake District and London, to Spain and Paris for adventure and more. We’ll be holidaying in the Peak District for the first time in 2018 as part of a collaboration, we’re off to Spain for our summer holiday again and I’m hopeful of another magical Christmas trip for our gorgeous boy. More on that later.

2017 also saw the launch of my new blog and the introduction of short films to add to the story of our little family. There are plans for more growth in 2018, I hope to learn more about photography and making short films, I hope to grow my blog so that one day I can step away from my day job. I can’t wait to attend a blogging conference or two to see some blogging friends and I am also hugely excited to be continuing with my Instagram hashtag #MyFamilyAdventures and lets not forget the two monthly link ups which have developed into a lovely little community over the last 12 months with the help of some lovely blogging friends.

So there you have it, my most read and liked blog posts from 2017, all wrapped up in a blog post and here are some of my favourite photos…

So, that’s about it from me, a final huge thank you to each and every one of you – I love you all so much. I really enjoyed switching off for a little while over the festive period as we celebrated the big day itself, our wedding anniversary and now to look forward to NYE and my birthday. I needed this little break with my family and of course to fatten up on all the food and booze! And now to cut back, I am what George would say a little tubby. It was worth it.

To anyone who’s read this far, I hope you had a great Christmas and a happy new year, see you on the other side!
