This week I have been

So hey there how has your week been?

It has been a great week here. A long week. But also a difficult week in some respects. A few things have fallen into place. Grandad is finally home from the hospital. Mr H is playing Christmas songs which always makes me chuckle. He’s going in, although not decorating (not before December 1st) but we are starting to feel festive.

And can you believe it – it was Friday Eve and for the first time in forever I have managed to get this post written and ready to press publish in advance. This is a quest. To finish some posts that I have in draft. I have so many thoughts, ramblings and posts that I want to share. For now, I’m going to focus on the little things – because when life gets a little tough it’s important to remember the little things that make me smile. I’ll come back to the blog posts.

And so, this week I have been…

Catching up with friends

Sometimes you just need to take a few minutes. A few hours out. To talk to a friend. Whether on the telephone or in person. To do the things that make you smile. Whether its taking photos. Drink coffee. Laugh and laugh some more. Take some more photos, drink more coffee and make plans. It was just what I needed after a difficult few days. I have great friends. Thank you for being there for me.

Wearing

Tights and boots. I’ve given in because oh my goodness it is blooming freezing. Freezing. The hats, scarfs and gloves are out in full force. Back to the outfit, this is going to be a favourite this winter. Red hasn’t always been the first colour I turn to but when I saw the style of this dress, the print and the length I couldn’t resist. The dress is from New Look – they really do have some great midi dresses this year.

Feeling festive

The Christmas songs and movies are starting to be played. We’re talking about visiting the tree farm to pick out our Christmas trees and of course decorating them. Mr H has started to watch Jamie Oliver’s festive food episodes on You Tube. We’re getting ready.

Binge watching

The Good Doctor on NOW TV. In just over a week I’ve made it to Series 3. It’s brilliant. I think I may have mentioned it last week.

Writing

This week I have shared a post featuring my 10 favourite fashion instagrammers. It’s a post I’ve had in draft for a little while and after this online world turned a little vile recently I wanted to share some love. To share with you some accounts which make me smile, inspire and buy clothes.

And that’s my weekly this week I have been post. A round up of all the things that have made me smile.

That’s great news about your grandad. I love that red dress, it suits you. I’m starting to get ready for all the festive bits to start. I’m itching for the 1st December to get here!
