One of my favourite moments to capture is a sunset, especially on a day when the sun has filled a clear blue sky all day long. Last weekends bank holiday weather was just so blooming beautiful, I have so many blue sky photos on my camera roll, it was like being in a different country. Just seagulls in the skies above, no clouds, only a clear sky for as far as the eye could see. I knew that the sunset was going to be incredible, I only wish I’d gone out a little earlier to see the full process of it going down. I caught it minutes before it disappeared.
I always edit my photos, to bring out all the colours whereas on this occasion I think I actually prefer the original and unedited version, and so I thought I would share both with you. The image above is edited to show how blue the sky actually looked as I snapped away, there was still so much colour in the sky. The photo below is the original image. Which do you prefer? As I crouched down to capture the sunset a doggy crept in to shot, she refused to move despite mine and her owners efforts to coherse her out of shot and so I thought I’d continue as once again the colours in the sky looked so different.
It’s cooled down a lot here this week in comparison to last weekend however I’m really excited to see another week ahead of glorious sunshine, how exciting is that? Everything seems so much better when the sun shines, even my 6.15am training session.
I have added this post to Darren’s #MySundayPhoto over on his blog Photalife.
