More leopard print, a hot tub & birthday celebrations #LittleLoves…

I don’t know about you but this week has been saved by the appearance of sunshine and blue skies. How nice has it been to feel the sunshine on your face? We were a little late to the party here in Staffordshire, it only really arrived on Wednesday afternoon but oh my goodness are we making the most of it. We have been playing football on the marsh after school, there have been no coats in sight, the blossom has bloomed and we’re all smiling.

We definitely needed to see the sun and thankfully after a rainy week it appeared for two of our three days at Darwin Forest. It was so nice to be out exploring and not having to worry about wrapping up warm. It goes without saying that we LOVED our time there, George was literally living his best life. Oh my goodness the hot tub, what a revelation. And the trim track is one of the best I have seen at one of these sites. I’ll be writing up a full review in the next few days so do look out for it if it’s on your list.

And so, grab a cuppa or glass of something fruity and join me in this week’s little loves…

Read…

The instructions on the hot tub! Do they count?

Watched…

We have finished watching another series of Line of Duty and started another on Thursday evening. We have definitely watched them in the wrong order but oh my goodness what a collection. If not a little tough in parts and definitely thought provoking due to it being focussed around the anti-corruption unit.

Heard…

Other than a throwback Thursday playlist on Spotify which they release each Thursday I haven’t really listened to much music this week. In other news did you hear it was my blog’s 4th birthday, another reason why we went away last weekend was to have a mini celebration. We’re all so proud of this space, it has certainly created a lot of opportunity for our little family and most definitely a labour of love but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I wonder if I will still be writing posts like this in another 4 years.

Made…

A glass of wine, does that count? As the out of office went on on Thursday evening I couldn’t help but enjoy a little glass, the sunshine does that to you doesn’t it?

Wore…

All of the leopard print. To think I nearly sent this shirt back, thank goodness I thought better of that decision and instead popped it on for our weekend in the Peak District. Its one from Topshop, although it seems to be a trending product so its in and out of stock. I have also enjoyed trying out my new straw bag and finally a dress without tights. I do love this time of year, I’ve written a little post about my Spring/Summer favourites in collaboration with our local Intu Potteries, hit the link if you fancy a snoop.

And lastly…

We have another weekend away, feels like that’s all we’ve done lately – this weekend though is a little different to the last two as we’re leaving our gorgeous boy behind. Mr H and I are off to the Lakes to celebrate a friends 40th birthday, there’s a big group of us we’ll be doing a mixture of activities, a lot of drinking and exploring the local area. The last time we had a celebration like this it was for our 30th’s, I guess we’re getting old *inserts smiley or should that be sad face*. George will be enjoying his weekend with best friend, already I know that I will be happy to see him on Sunday morning. How does your weekend look?

I have added this post to Morgana’s #LittleLoves over on her blog Coffee, Work, Sleep, Repeat.
