Me and Mine – A Family Portrait Project {April}

April what an adventure you were. I feel like the month has just been filled with weekends spent exploring new places, making the most of the Easter holidays and juggling childcare. With not being able to take the full two weeks with our gorgeous boy we just wanted to make the most of the time we could spend together. Which in turn has meant that the month has been so busy for our little family which I think is why the end of the month has crept up on me. I can’t quite believe tomorrow will be May 1st, wow how did that happen – a little cliche I know but in all seriousness it will be the summer holidays before we know it. For that reason alone I am so happy that I am continuing to capturing our little family each month, even if only in just the one photo like this month.

This month’s photo’s were taken on our little family trip to Darwin Forest – we ventured over to The Heights of Abraham whilst we were there and very quickly grabbed this photo of us as the boys looked out at the view. There is usually a huge crowd waiting to snap photo’s from this viewpoint, it’s so beautiful – so I very much took my chance when I saw that we were the only ones about. You know when you see a moment, and so I popped the timer on my camera, propped it up against my bag and very quickly jumped into the shot, so much so that afterwards when George realised he said ‘you tricked us mummy’. That I did George Archie, that I did.

George is loving… playing football on the field with Daddy after school, reading his school books, booking his wall climbing birthday party, going into the Caves at The Heights of Abraham and watching the new marvel movie.

Daddy is loving… watching the new marvel movie (of course), booking our flights for Disney World Florida for 2019, sunny evenings, 40th birthday celebrations with his friend and George moving up another level on his reading.

I am loving… escaping to Whitby & the Peak District for two long weekends over Easter, blossom on the trees, the sun shining on a Thursday afternoon when I pick George up from School, finally returning to training after 8 weeks off with my ankle injury and watching George achieve his level 6 award at swimming.

And so here are a few photos from April on one of the few days that there was a blue sky and we didn’t need to wear our winter coats…

I have added this post to Lucy’s #MeandMineProject over on her blog Dear Beautiful.

I’m Kerri-Ann or KA as my friends call me, always found with a cup of coffee in one hand and my camera in the other. I have a huge passion for photography, fitness, fashion and family travel. I started this blog in 2014. It began as my creative outlet after becoming a mummy to our little boy George Archie. I started out blogging about parenting and over the years it has evolved into a blog that covers lifestyle, fashion, family and travel. Today TheKAEdit is ultimately a life and style blog.
