Mr Grey, Photo styling & The School run #LittleLoves

Where do I begin. What a blooming lovely week it has been, the weather not so much but the memories from the weekend and the fact that I got to do the school drop off twice this week really is something to be celebrated. But first let me tell you about Mr Grey, oh my goodness he’s just so blooming lovely. I loved every minute of the film, the romance, the drama and of course Mr Grey himself – I only wish I had another friend to go see it with again.

In other news on Thursday there was a gorgeous blue sky all day long – the sun shone and wow what a gorgeous afternoon George and I had. The best afternoon we have had together after picking him up from school in a long while. If I wasn’t longing for Spring before I am now. Winter be gone.

And so grab a coffee and join me in this week’s little loves…

The instructions for my new gadget, I have a new Apple watch and I am so excited. One – its pink little loves crew and two it is keeping me on track with my fitness goals. Mr H signed us up to Vitality Health Life Insurance way before Christmas and as part of our policy we have a weekly exercise target, if we hit it we earn our benefits – a Starbucks coffee (yes you read right) and cinema tickets which we have all enjoyed making use of. As I’m regularly achieving my points I’ve taken the next step on the policy and chosen to get an Apple Watch, eek its pretty clever you know and pretty of course.

Like so many of the UK we watched Trauma this week. Ooh little loves crew, I’m not a fan and was left feeling so disappointed. I won’t say much more just in case you are part way through. And whilst I know that the two main actors are kind of a big deal – I just didn’t like it. A bold statement I know but in all seriousness if you haven’t watched it, don’t. Your time is best spent elsewhere, maybe even exercising and yes it really was that bad I am promoting exercise.

I am listening to Jessi Ware on repeat at the moment. I think with going to see her in March I’m just really looking forward to hearing her sing live and so, I’m preparing some 5 weeks in advance and can’t help but play this song on repeat – Alone.

Pretty pictures with wilting flowers on Sunday afternoon. We were enjoying a little family walk which is our Sunday morning ritual but sadly a rather aggressive hail storm hit and so we retreated and warmed up with hot tea and biscuits at home. I really do adore these photos – which reminds me I need to pick up more flowers and order another backdrop to my props collection. I do love photo styling.

There’s a little bit of beret and pink love for this week’s what I wore section. On Saturday a friend and I went for food before watching Fifty Shades Freed, a must if you are a fan and if you’re not its never too late. I only caught up this time last year – it was the best thing I ever did!

Anyway I thought I wear spots for the occasion, this dress was from Glamorous which is a concession they sell in Topshop although it is actually cheaper to buy it direct. On Sunday I wore my new scarf and bag which I picked up on Saturday, the scarf was from H&M and the bag Primark, I am in love with the colour of them both. And lastly, the temperatures have plummeted again and so the big pink Topshop Teddy coat came out and oh my goodness was I glad to be wearing it on Thursday when I picked George up from School. Blooming freezing it was.

And lastly…

It is mainly just the boy and me on Saturday as Mr H is off to Manchester celebrating a friends birthday. We have drumming and then our boxing class, the rest of the day is currently free of a schedule so I guess we’ll see where the day takes us. Have a great weekend little loves crew.

I have added this post to Morgana’s #LittleLoves over on her blog Coffee, Work, Sleep, Repeat.

Sounds like we had the same weird hail storm down south as you did last weekend. We have had a few days of beautiful blue skies over the last few days though and it makes everything seem that much better. Love those flower pics, I’ve been meaning to get another of Lucy’s backdrops for ages, think you’ve just persuaded me. I still haven’t watched the 2nd 50 Shades film. I was so put off by the books, I never really gave the first film much of a chance, although I admit I preferred it to the film. Perhaps it’s time to give the films another go. Hope you and George are having a good weekend x

Loving your watch and what a great initiative with that Insurance policy. I’m going to chat to Jon about it!
I’m glad you said that about Trauma. I missed it when it was on and wondered whether to give it a try. I now know not to bother! Such a shame when a programme that should deliver just misses the mark.
    Hope you’re having a lovely week x

Its such a great initiative, with Simon being an IFA his company have really looked into the benefits and feasibility of the policy. Very motivating that’s for sure. x

Oooh, interesting that you didn’t like Trauma. I’ve not started it yet but it was on my list of things to watch – I might not bother after reading your thoughts. And those photo-styled images are just stunning! I wish I had the imagination to come up with things like that.
