A girly day, Pink love & Painting a pot #LittleLoves

Happy Friday! I am full of the love for Spring to arrive this week, after the temperatures rising last weekend I have been spoilt with blue skies and baring my ankles and lets not forget spring blooms. My hopes and dreams of warmer times were very quickly shattered with a huge drop in temperatures this week and oh my goodness snow is on the horizon. Last weekend was so blooming lovely, the sun shone and I had a gorgeous girly day with Jenny on Saturday as well as a date night with my boys and a gloriously sunny Sunday. I do love weekends like that, a real blend of all the little things that make me smile.

And so, grab a coffee and join me in this week’s little loves…

I’m really trying hard to fit in time to read, it isn’t going well at all – I guess something had to give when I decided to add training into an already busy schedule. I have however found the time to style a couple of photos with books I want to read. You can always rely on a day with Jenny to have a few flat lay’s stocked up.

We are utterly consumed with Designated Survivor on Netflix. I mentioned this last week and quite frankly until we are up to date I can’t promise that we’ll watch anything else. We haven’t even managed to watch our weekly Silent Witness or Jamie’s Friday Night Feast or even Graham Norton. Massively failing here.

I watched Paloma Faith sing one of her songs Till I’m Done from the album The Architect on the Graham Norton Show. I do love her voice and style, this song is actually one of my favourites of hers, the words are so powerful and just look at her style, this girl just has it.

We painted a pot or should I say pig on Thursday after school. We rarely do an activity on a Thursday and I am so glad that we did more than our usual trip to the park, as nice as the park is it was lovely to have some mummy and son time. The lovely team over at The Potters Barn invited us in to experience their decorating studio and what fun we had. We haven’t done this since last February half-term, we painted a pig – we named him King George and he most definitely has a colourful personality, beautiful finished with a crown.

My check coat is very much a firm fixture in my wardrobe at the moment. It just goes so well with most of the clothes I wear, it tends to be the one I reach for without question. Coats have always been a huge part of my style, thankfully there is still time to make the most of them as Spring definitely isn’t as close as I thought it was. One of my favourites outfits from the weekend was my pink pleated skirt and jumper, I hadn’t thought of wearing this colour combination but I am so glad that I did, pink definitely is my colour.

And lastly…

I am so excited for this weekend, a friend and I are off to the cinema to watch the latest Fifty Shades movie on Saturday night. Food and shopping before and quite possibly cocktails after to dissect the movie. How blooming lovely. Other than that the boys are off to Splash Landings and then our traditional family Sunday will follow with drumming lessons and circuit training in between. Have a lovely weekend and a great week little loves crew.

I have added this post to Morgana’s #LittleLoves over on her blog Coffee, Work, Sleep, Repeat.

Love the idea of painting some pottery – will have to see if they have anything like that in my local area. I haven’t managed to watch Silent Witness for a couple of weeks now, it’s my favourite too! Enjoy your weekend xx

I love Paloma Faith I think she’s fab! Silent witness this week was a good one and designated survivor has been recommended to us a few times so it’s defintiely one we need to get into! Reading is so hard to get into the schedule-I only manage at bedtime and fall asleep so quickly. I hope you had a fabulous day doing dinner cocktails and cinema on Saturday it sounded fantastic x

How cute is that pig? Our one attempt at pot painting wasn’t too successful. Lots of paint splodges all mixed together to make a kind of yucky grey colour, I think I’ll wait until she’s a bit older! #littleloves
