Snapshots & Scenes – December

I can’t quite believe this is my first post of 2018, a new year, a fresh start, a whole 365 days to write a new story and go on adventures together. I guess before I start I should wish you all a Happy New Year. I am so happy that my first post is one of celebration, of looking back through the last few days of 2017 which when I scroll back through my camera roll was pretty fantastic. Spectacular even.

As we come to the end of the year and as you read this post at the beginning of a new year I am so glad to have started this project. I am really looking forward to making more short films in 2018 and really hope to be more creative with what and how I share our little family life with you. I am amazed by how a few seconds here and there when brought together make something so magical. This month’s short film isn’t quite what I imagined I would film in December – I had hoped to share clips from Disney with you but what with the crowds and generally having so much fun I didn’t quite manage to film a thing. We did however take lots of photos and they are firmly stored in the memory bank.

Instead what you have this month is a little montage of the few days in December before our trip to Disneyland Paris, snow adventures, the big reveal to George at St Pancras and of course Christmas morning. December seems to have come and gone in a flash which I guess is another reason for being thankful that I captured the moments I did. And so, here is this months Snapshots & Scenes from December…

And just in case you were wondering, Snapshots & Scenes is a monthly project that I am taking part in – along with a group of lovely bloggers. We set up this little project back in the summer to test our creative skills and to focus on telling a story through a short film centred around family life. Whether it is a day in the life, a holiday, a special moment, a day out or even just home life – interpret it as you like. And don’t forget to share your clips or favourite photos over on Instagram using the tag #SnapshotsandScenes.

We would love to see what you are sharing this month, and do make sure you pop by my co hosts – JennySara-Jayne, Mel & Chloe – and don’t forget to link up your own Snapshots & Scenes below with a little link back to where you found it.

Just realised your video was on Vimeo, so I’ve just watched it here. George’s reaction when he realises you’re going to Disneyland Paris is priceless. As for Christmas morning, I love the fact you filmed him as he was walking towards the living room, hoping to find our father Christmas had been. It’s all really magical and it’s wonderful you captured it all on film. xxx

Aww yes I thought it looked better on Vimeo than on You Tube. Not sure really, I’ll have a think as time goes.
