First of all, happy new year to you. And so, here is my first #MySundayPhoto of 2018. I joined in with this project almost every week in 2017 as well as previous years and this year I really do hope to complete the whole 52 weeks. Landscape photography is something I have fallen in love with since finding this project – it is a place to share those photos which are just for me, ones which make me smile and often take me off on an adventure to capture.
Since the new year I haven’t really taken many photos due to the weather being well lets just say a little disappointing. As I woke on Sunday morning and pulled back the curtains I couldn’t quite believe what I was seeing, the first blue sky of 2018. We very quickly got moving and head out for a winters day walk around our favourite local place to explore – Trentham Gardens. It was definitely the best decision.
As we were leaving the gardens George noticed a rainbow, I didn’t believe him at first and then there it was. We were all confused, there hadn’t been any rain in days, so why a rainbow? And so like any other normal person I asked Google and he responded with saying that a rainbow can occur anytime of the year as long as there is water and sunlight. Just the best way to end my birthday weekend, a winters walk with my boys. The perfect day.
I have added this post to Darren’s #MySundayPhoto over on his blog Photalife.
