Ever since our gorgeous boy arrived into the world we have introduced a few family Christmas traditions. Ones that kick start the festive season, ones we repeat each year, some we have introduced as we have gone and some we haven’t followed. One that has stayed with us over the last 6 years is the day we hang our stockings and Christmas sacks. The day we make the preparations for the big fella to arrive, when we decorate our trees and dress the house with all our festive bits and bobs.
Christmas really is the most magical time of year. Our little family are lets just say descendants of Father Christmas and so our house is filled with the smell of pine needles, cinnamon, mulled wine (for the adults) and a sprinkling of glitter. What’s not to love about this time of year? I love the fact that Christmas time brings age old traditions from all members of the Hargreaves family, whether its picking out our Christmas Trees, hanging our stockings on the fireplace or the pantomime on Christmas Eve they each have their special moment.
Our gorgeous boy was lucky enough to be sent this personalised Christmas sack and stocking fillers as part of the Disney Store’s #GiftMagic campaign and oh my goodness did he smile. There’s nothing quite like a surprise to make our boy smile and when it involves the Disney Magic there’s no hiding the joy. We always leave him a stocking filled with gifts at the end of his bed, ready for when he wakes at some silly hour – I love that we hear him gasp with excitement and frantically open his gifts. Mr H and I lay in bed silently, laughing and waiting until we hear his footsteps down the hall. Oh my goodness I think WE BELIEVE as much as he.
And don’t worry, our Elf Buddy delivered this sack of goodies on December 1st as he arrived to celebrate the festive season. The secret is safe with us, what secret is that?
If you’re looking for some stocking fillers then I would definitely hop on over to the Disney Store’s Christmas shop, you won’t be disappointed and may even find something for yourself. I have added the Chip cup to my list. Finger and toes crossed it appears in my stocking this year.
