Another cosy knit, The Jungle & A new look #LittleLoves

Thank goodness for the weekend. I am filled with a cold, tired from feeling a little under the weather and from preparing the house for a little spruce up. We have decided or should I say Mr H decided to redecorate George’s playroom and to change the wallpaper in our main bedroom at the busiest time of the year. Which has meant late nights stripping walls and well lets just say a whole lot of chaos. On a more cheery note, I mentioned last week that I was making plans for a new blog and voila, welcome friends to a new look, a fresh feel and well a place full of all my little loves.  I hope you like it.

And so, grab a cup of something hot and join me in this week’s little loves…

I have been listening to my gorgeous boy reading his favourite stories at bedtime this week and oh my goodness I had tears in my eyes. I welled up and really struggled to speak, I don’t often help with the bedtime routine as it’s the boys little thing but it has made me want to delay washing up the dishes or catching up on blog bits and just listen from the door or even join in and make it a family affair.

Whilst Mr H has been engrossed in Peaky Blinders which might I add for some reason I have never seen. I’m unsure as to why really – recently I have heard so much about it that I’m wondering if I should try and catch up? Has anyone else been watching I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here? I am really enjoying it this year, at first I didn’t think that I would what with the line up but actually there are some fab characters on the show and the hosts – oh my goodness once again comedy gold.

One of the girls in the office introduced me to Mabel – Finders Keepers. And whilst I don’t quite like the introduction, I do quite like the sound of the song and the girls voice in particular. It took me back to my R&B days in de club. Oh my goodness did I just write that? Oh yes I did. I sound so old.

Soup for lunch. It has been blooming freezing here in Staffordshire. I don’t know about you but I am now fully wrapped up for winter despite that isn’t officially winter for another month I am past caring about what season we are meant to be in – it is far too cold for that. We have been working with the lovely team over at Cully & Sully who sent us a whole bunch of soups to try, oh my goodness they were good! The mushroom was a hit with Mr H, a traditional creamy tomato for the boy whereas I found the pea and minty to be a taste sensation!

A new cosy knit, and if truth be told this purchase has created a little controversy with Mr H who doesn’t appear to appreciate its loveliness. Whereas myself and the boy think it is lovely. The colours are definitely meant for me and I love the neckline. Next have done it again, another gorgeous knit. I have also been trying out this Lanolips balm for well as the name suggests – my lips. I don’t really wear lipstick and struggle to find a balm so when I saw the lovely Emma from Life at the little wood recommend this one a couple of weeks ago I went in search of it and I am so glad that I did.

And lastly…

We are off to take part in an Elf Adventure at our favourite – Trentham Gardens this weekend. It sounds so much fun, George is beyond excited as it really is the first festive adventure we are going on and best of all I get to join in too.  And I am certain that as it is just the boy and me that there will be hot chocolate and cake to follow. It would be rude not to!

If you don’t already, I would love for you to join in with #MyFamilyAdventures over on Instagram. Laura from Little Ladies Big World has recently joined me as co-host and we would love to see more of your lovely captures. Each week we share our favourites over on IG stories and on the last Sunday of each month, which is this one we pull together our monthly adventures in the form of a blog post and link up for you to share your adventures from the previous month.

I have added this post to Morgana’s #LittleLoves over on her blog Coffee, Work, Sleep, Repeat.

I love the jumper, I never really look in Next for clothes for myself but buy so much in there for the toddler. Soup is definite must for this time of year, it has turned so cold.

I have that jumper too in a different colour; I love the sleeves and it’s so easy to throw on. But you’ve made me want to get that colour now too, it’s lovely! I was just saying on Morgana’s blog that I haven’t watched Peaky Blinders either (although I did start it once) and I’m going to give it a try after hearing lots of good stuff about it xx

I adore the new look. It’s so beautiful!!! I also seriously love Cully & Sully soups! Their chicken soup become a staple in our house anytime one of us got a cold. Now we’ve actually added them to our weekly shop because we all love them so much and we often mix them with rice or noodles to make an extra yummy lunch or dinner. Your jumper is gorgeous! It looks so snug. I love wearing little pops of colour at this time of year. Anything to brighten the mood! 😀 x

Thanks so much Chloe, I am so happy with it. After nearly 4 years I finally feel like I have a layout that truly fits what I was looking to have. The soups are delicious and a favourite for us now too. Such a gorgeous knit, I think I might need to look at their others x
