Take me to the beach. We’ve been back from our holiday a whole two weeks now and still I look back at this photo and I am transported right back to that moment – the sun so bright, the warm breeze and the sound of boats bobbing along. If there is one place I go to escape it is the beach, whether in sunny Spain or here in the UK. The beach has this magical power – to wash away the stresses, allowing you to feel disconnected – there is something about the sea air that leaves me feeling refreshed and clear in my thoughts.
There are so many beaches near to where we stay in Spain, some full of tourists and others like this one which is a little cove hidden away from all the commerciality you often find. It is called Cabo Roig and was very quickly our favourite beach of our summer holiday. It was our first and last trip of the holiday with many in between.
I often found myself wandering off whilst the boys were playing football in search of a little view point. To take in the views, read a book with a glass of sangria or even just to people watch. Oh how I miss the beach, see you again next year. Until then it will be winter trips to the seaside, equally as beautiful only we’ll be wearing wellies, hats and winter coats.
And here are a few of my favourite spots…
I have added this post to Darren’s #MySundayPhoto over on his blog Photalife.
