#MySundayPhoto – Wildflower meadow

In the summertime, when the weather is fine you can stretch your legs and touch the sky. See what I did there. There is nothing more I love on a summers day than packing a picnic and lets not forget a ball for our six year old and heading out for a breath of fresh air. To explore our local surroundings, take in the sights and to enjoy where we live. We are close to so many beautiful gardens all looking so full of life and colour at this time of the year.

Flowers are one of my biggest loves, picking up a bouquet and having it dotted around the house – it is one of those things that brings joy to the house. The smell, the colour and most of all they bring a bit of life. Wild flowers have a certain je ne sais quoi about them which can’t be explained. Maybe it is as simple as there name, that they are wild. I love the colours, how they sway in the breeze and quite simply how beautiful they are. Flowers have always made me smile, if only I could have my own wildflower meadow all would be well in the world. Simple pleasures.

I have added this post to Darren’s #MySundayPhoto over on his blog Photalife.

Absolutely beautiful! I love that councils leave areas of park and grass verges and allow the wilfdlowers to grow as they look so lovely and are also great for the environment by encouraging the bees.
