Breakfast dates, Sale shopping & my gorgeous boy #LittleLoves

I always knew this week would be tough, the first of the summer holidays moving between Nanny & Grandad and sports club with another three weeks yet to come. This time last year I was enjoying the first week of the holidays with my gorgeous boy, handing over the reigns to Mr H and then reuniting together on the final week. This year we decided that we all needed a longer break together, time to truly unwind and so we are escaping to Espana for two weeks at the end of the holidays. We are all longing for the beach but as we wait for the day to arrive we knew that the first week would be tough settling into a new routine but thankfully things have gone pretty much to plan.

And so, grab a cuppa and read my little loves from this week…

Ok, so I know this section has been a little drab lately. I must firstly apologise and secondly admit that for yet another week I have nothing to share. On a positive note my next Red Mag appeared on the doorstep on Friday and so next week I will be sharing some snippets from that for you.

The bar man mixing my cocktails in Cottonopolis – does that count? Other than Game of Thrones which I have mentioned a few times lately I haven’t managed to catch much TV. Mr H snook off to the cinema last weekend to watch Dunkirk, he was raving about it. Ooh actually, I watched Legally Blonde – oh how a chick flick soothes the soul. Such easy viewing and who doesn’t love practising their bend and snap? Come on admit it, we’ve all done it.

Smooth Radio has been the channel of choice this week in the office. I can’t believe how many old classics we have heard. The music in my training classes has been full of old school dance music which I have really enjoyed, nothing like a good playlist to motivate you.

We made time on Sunday morning to enjoy a little breakfast date for two before heading home. Often we never stay in the hotel for breakfast but oh my, The Malmaison does breakfast so well. Homemade granola, berries, yoghurt and honey followed by waffles, bacon and maple syrup. Wow, is it wrong that I enjoyed the breakfast so much?

A slogan tee and my gingham trousers for our journey into Manchester on Saturday. I never did manage to take a photo of what I wore in the evening, I am such a rubbish fashion blogger. And lets not forget my all time favourite dress from Zara, if only they would repeat this dress in a different print.

And lets not forget sale shopping. I have been a little naughty this week and swooped into grab some final bits from the end of sale bargains and oh my goodness did I grab some good deals. New Look and Topshop did not disappoint. If you are looking for some last minute bargains then I would head on over. I am particularly in love with the brand QED over on New Look.

And lastly…

I have a lovely weekend cocooned in our little family bubble, Mr H is off celebrating a friends birthday on Saturday so I have the pleasure of spending the whole day with my gorgeous boy. Apparently we are having a little sleepover in my bed on Saturday night, oh how I love waking up to my gorgeous sleeping boy. I do love a weekend with no real plans. How does your weekend look little loves crew?

I have added this post to Morgana’s #LittleLoves over on her blog Coffee, Work, Sleep, Repeat.

That breakfast looks out of this world incredible! I love eating breakfast out, it feels so much more of a treat than lunch or dinner for some reason. Legally Blonde is such a classic, and I have definitely tried the bend and snap in the past haha! Love your trousers, I literally only have jeans, so really need to expand my trouser collection! xx

Ha ha I remember doing the bend and snap with my friends – none of us could ever do it properly. That breakfast looks amazing! Sounds like you had a wonderful time in Manchester. Hope you’re enjoying the weekend x

It sounds like you had a lovely weekend away with your husband – that granola looked delicious (breakfast is my favourite meal of the day!). I watched Legally Blonde with my teenage stepdaughter a couple of weeks ago – she’s got the ‘bend and snap’ down perfectly (I don’t, which she found hysterical!) 😉

I love a good hotel breakfast, I’m not a fan of a cooked breakfast but I do love fresh fruit, granola and natural yoghurt. We stayed at a hotel this weekend and breakfast was superb, such a treat. Hope the second week routines are smoother for you, before you know it you’ll all be together for your Spanish holiday
