Escaping to Lytham

St Annes Beach Apartments

As the end of the Easter half-term approaches, I cannot help but look back through the photo’s from our little adventures over the last two weeks and smile. Mr H and I managed to time a few days of our annual leave together which meant for the first week of the holidays we escaped to Blackpool and Lytham for a little break. There is nothing quite like spending time together as our little family at the seaside. It certainly is our happy place, wrapping ourselves up in a little bubble only to be popped by the check out time!

We have had so much fun, whether it was swimming at the Sandcastle Waterpark, flipping out at Flip Out, drinking Butterbeer at the Warner Brothers Studios or relaxing in the most luxurious beach apartments we have lived, loved and laughed so much together. Just perfect.

Just another day in paradise. The perfect sign hanging in the entrance to these gorgeous apartments. Our overnight stay at the St Anne’s Beach Apartments felt like a night in paradise. And just what we needed after the worst nights sleep in our hotel in Blackpool the night before. I just have to share these beautiful apartments with you, a little hidden gem on the beach front of St Anne’s Lytham. Perfect for families, friends and making memories.

We stayed in 05 Sand Dunes and were wowed from the moment we pulled onto the carpark. A sigh of relief and a wave of calm fell across us all. For Lil G it was his own bunk beds and TV in his room (eek) and for Mr H and I it was the view, sitting at the dining room table, drinking a glass of wine and looking out to sea. Quite simply, it was perfection. The only thing Mr H said he wanted extra was a movie to watch for the evening, well his wish came true. The apartments also have Netflix!

Finding a family friendly place to stay, in the perfect location, looking out to sea sounds like heaven right? Well my friends we have found it and are already planning our return. They are luxurious and spacious, completely tailored for families but come with all the little home comforts a hotel does not. It’s the little extra details which make paying those few extra pounds worth it for me. Down to the Easter eggs on arrival for Lil G and the bottle of wine in the fridge for the adults we couldn’t have been happier.

But wait there’s more. Despite being a self catered apartment you were provided with towels and toiletries, a Nespresso coffee machine (double eek), 2 pints of milk and lets not forget the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. I know I am gushing over these apartments but honestly what isn’t there to love? There is nothing negative to say. They are in the perfect location of St Anne’s Lytham, which if you haven’t visited before then do and hosted by a truly lovely couple who have clearly thought of every little detail to make your stay nothing but pure joy.

What else can I tell you about these apartments? I thought that a few photo’s might help to tell a little story…

There are some holidays which stay with you, the memories you have made and I know that this is one of them. Just last night as we drove home from Nanny’s Lil G turned to me and asked if we could watch the sunset. ‘You know mummy like we did at the beach house’. He was referring to our little stay at these gorgeous apartments and I am so glad that we made this little memory. After all isn’t that what it’s all about?

If you’re wondering about what there is to do in Lytham then be rest assured there is so much fun to be had. Although you may find it hard getting your little one out of the apartment like we did! We had hoped to take a little morning walk along the beach front but sadly we had to head off early. It really is a lovely walk, we have been visiting Lytham since Lil G was born and of all the beaches we have visited in the UK it is in our top three. Perfect for families.

What is there to do? A beautiful beach walk, a traditional pier, a beautiful town, the Beach Huts (which are also owned by Stuart & Zoe), sand dunes to run through, the lighthouse, an adventure playground and a marina. Best of all there is a very detailed book in the apartment which gives you a list of all the local attractions as well as recommended takeaways and restaurants to visit. I have also popped a little post up on the blog of our Top 5 Things To Do in Blackpool which is only a 20 minute drive away if you fancy combining your stay like we did. Stuart and Zoe really have thought of every little detail and it is safe to say that you will not be disappointed, we only wished we could have stayed a little longer. Thank you for your hospitality, we really did enjoy our stay and now want to move to Lytham!

Have you ever been to St Anne’s Lytham before?

Lovely review — The place you stayed is in St Annes, Blackpool is 6 miles north, Lytham is east along the coast about three miles, with Ansdel and Fairhaven in between. The whole stretch of coast is Lytham St Annes.

These look so beautiful, I can see why you found it so relaxing and sounds like you were ready for it! I love places that have little extra special touches, Lil G certainly looks like he enjoyed it, how happy does he look in that bed?! I haven’t been to Lytham since I was young but remember it being a beautiful part of the world. xx

We used the Beach Huts over the Easter Holiday too. Sadly the weather was atrocious but they were beautiful. And you even got use of a lovely communal area too. The review is great. I shall definitely look at booking the apartments in the summer.

What a beautiful apartment. We stayed in St Annes in February for a weekend break away and we absolutely loved it. The beach, the area and the little café on the seafront by the RNLI. We can’t wait to go back. Perfect family location for a getaway.

Everytime I see the Beach huts and apartments on social media I think we really need to book a night. They look the perfect family retreat, and I love Lytham St Annes. They look so fresh yet homely and look at the view from the dining table. No wonder you were chilled the minute you arrived x
