Long weekends, A new bag & Blossom Trees #LittleLoves

Oh the weather on Monday was just beautiful, waking to a bright blue sky was just what we had hoped for. It was my day off with George and oh my goodness were we hoping for sunshine. We just haven’t ventured out and seen a bright blue sky in so long so Monday was a real treat. Last weekend we ventured out to Alton Towers for one of George’s friends birthdays, we had hoped to go on the new ride; The Wickerman but sadly it was either closed or had a 3-hour queue. We definitely need to utilise our passes out of school holidays. And so for this post I am focussing on the sunshine and photos of my gorgeous boy who is looking so grown up lately. I’ve really enjoyed spending a few days with him over the Easter break, if only every week as a 3 day weekend.

And so here are this week’s little loves, grab yourself a coffee and have a little snoop…

Read…

Its Red Mag time. I have really enjoyed reading through some of the articles this month, the fashion not so much which is strange for me. Kylie is just wonderful isn’t she and I love the front cover. I love the article on ‘Laughing Matters’ – something we should all do more hey? I do love how feminine the fashion is at the moment, floaty skirts and dresses are a huge favourite of mine.

Watched…

We have been watching the latest season of Line of Duty. The last series was a really tough watch and this one seems to be following the same theme, centred around a Police Department and sadly the anticorruption unit which always leaves me feeling a little like ‘why do people need to break the rules’ especially when they are in position of power and authority.

Heard…

I have been listening to the Greatest Showman soundtrack, it really is one of those albums which gets you all fired up. I’ve been so tired this week that music has definitely helped me to wake up a little. Music definitely lifts the mood doesn’t it, sadly this grey and wet weather isn’t! I have also been playing my favourite Jessie Ware songs on repeat on the way to the office of a morning – my favourites are Your Domino, Champagne Kisses and Selfish Love.

Made…

A little video of our stay and adventures around Whitby at the beginning of the Easter holidays. I’d love you to have a watch. I’m hoping to put one together of our weekend away to the Peak District this weekend as well, especially as we have our fur baby with us. I don’t think he’s featured in one before. I also need to write up a post about where we stayed, what we did and where we visited. I have had so many lovely questions asking for recommendations that I really need to.

Wore…

A maxi dress, a maxi skirt and modelled my new bag around the house. I couldn’t resist buying a straw bag for the summer, I have a beach bag and a straw hat and now a little bag for the evening. Although I do hope to style it with regular outfits. I do love anything maxi and have completely fell in love with the print and colour of this dress – it has pink in it after all. I’m so predictable. So predictable.

And lastly…

We are off to Darwin Forest this weekend on a little blog collaboration. I am definitely looking forward to dipping into the hot tub, I just hope the weather holds out for us. We’re taking our furry baby with us and hoping to explore the woodland area which surrounds the accommodation. In other news my blog turns 4 this weekend, how did that happen? I cannot quite believe that I have been writing and sharing over here on this online space of mine. As the years go by I really do appreciate the opportunities that come our way, the support you lovely lot show and of course my followers over on Instagram – no more so than this year. And so, let me say a little virtual thank you.

I have added this post to Morgana’s #LittleLoves over on her blog Coffee, Work, Sleep, Repeat.

I wish I could wear more maxi things but being so short I struggle to find things that aren’t ridiculously long on me. I started watching Line of Duty this week, it’s rather gripping! #littleloves

Love all your beautiful spring-like photos. I bought The Greatest Showman soundtrack and blast it out in the car almost every day – think I’m starting to drive the kids mad with it now. Hope you have a lovely weekend away x

Oh I have been buying accessories and have a similar bag to this with black handles so chic. I am bringing it to St Anns for beach fun. Love G hair he has the best hair ever I often regret ever cutting B as it’s curly like this. Hubby won’t let me have it longer. He is growing up so fast. What beautiful blue skies captures. Have a wonderful weekend ahead hunny. #littleloves
