Half term, a new coat & my first Wardrobe Edit #LittleLoves

Those four days went so very quick, I’ve never taken time off during the February half term and already I’m wondering how I can make my annual leave stretch a little further. Well sadly I’m no magician so it’s back to the drawing board for me. I loved our time together and I just know that it brought us that little bit closer together. Is it wrong to say that I love our mummy and son days? As much as I’m looking forward to our family time I’m already looking forward to our Easter holiday together.

The rest of the week has been spent with Nanny & Grandad eating a whole lot of cake and then lastly a day at Football Club. His first time and I’m so proud and really looking forward to hearing all about it. I just hope he has enjoyed the day playing football, he will have one friend there and he does know the tutors so I have my fingers & toes crossed that his Friday was a good day. Mine will mainly be spent thinking about him.

And so after lots of photos from our half term, grab a coffee and join me in this week’s little loves…

Moving swiftly on, there is nothing to see here.

We have started a new series – 13 Reasons Why. I hadn’t realised how popular it was until I mentioned it in the office. Have you seen it? It really is quite upsetting to watch but intriguing at the same time, I know this happens in schools – I was bullied so I know how difficult it can be but it is interesting to see the reactions to how Hannah views their actions. I’m determined to get to the end and apparently there is a second series in the making so we do need to hurry along.

As I have been on half term for a few days my handsome little soldier has been choosing the playlists in the car. He is learning to drum along to Supersonic at the moment and therefore seems to have this song on repeat as well as Cool Kids. I have been enjoying listening to Feel It Still by Portugal. The Man.

Granola. Oh my goodness it was the tastiest breakfast and so much nicer than shop bought. More importantly George LOVED it. We have been trying to change what he eats for breakfast, he loves cereal which after watching Jamie & Jimmy’s show all about how sugary they are I have been desperate to find something else that he would enjoy. And so, after seeing a friend making granola on her Instagram I thought I would try making some for him. I am so pleased that he enjoyed it and more importantly it is a much cleaner version than most in the shops and I know exactly what is in it. I think I am going to add a recipe to the blog, what do you think?

For the first time in forever I don’t really have a lot to share with you here. I have been wearing my new pink coat which I picked up in the Debenham’s sale at the weekend – it was £20 and I just couldn’t leave it. In other fashion news I made my first Wardrobe Edit video and popped it up on my You Tube channel, it would appear that I did ok and that there might even be a space in the You Tube world for a 38 year old lover of fashion, mummy of one who likes to shop on the high street –  which has been a real surprise. I honestly didn’t think that anyone would like it or even watch it, I really dislike hearing my own voice so I am definitely pushing myself out of my comfort zone here. The comments and virtual hugs have been so lovely and definitely given me the confidence I needed to make another. Thank you.

And lastly…

George and I are off on a little early Mother’s Day treat on Sunday in collaboration with Debenham’s – I am really really excited, who doesn’t love afternoon tea and shopping? I’ll be sure to tell you more next week and of course there will be some stories over on IG and a blog post. And lastly lastly, this month’s #MyFamilyAdventures goes live on Sunday and I would really love for you to join in – whether you add a post to the link up on the blog or join in with the hashtag over on Instagram. We’re approaching 40,000 photos now which is really exciting. Its such a lovely community, so many of you sharing gorgeous little squares of adventure. Anyway, have a great week little loves crew. We have a weekend of doing all the little things, hopefully enjoying some sunshine and maybe even a snowdrop walk before George is back to school and routine next week.

I have added this post to Morgana’s #LittleLoves over on her blog Coffee, Work, Sleep, Repeat.

Another coat?! I saw one in M&S the other day and was drawn to it but managed to leave it. I would not manage to if it was £20 like yours! It’s gorgeous. I have very strong views over that 13 Reasons Why series, I hate the storyline and think it’s an unnecessary thing to highlight – there’s NEVER a reason for suicide! But then it’s a bit too close to home for me so I’ll never watch it but know that it was a cult series for a while last year. I love the sound of your mother’s day after tea with Debenhams – what a great way to celebrate! xx
