A Drummer boy, A family walk & New nails #LittleLoves

Hello third week of the year. I feel like I am finally getting back into the swing of our little family routine – of work and school, homework, swimming, drumming and my own fitness classes. It has been a good week all round for us – George has had a week of being super cute, cuddly and so loving that it has been hard to leave the house in the morning. Although it does always make home time something to look forward to doesn’t it? And what about those blue skies, I’ve seen two this week and oh my goodness they certainly help to raise the mood don’t they? That and getting back to my exercise as well as singing happy birthday to my furry baby who turned 10 years old have certainly been some of the little things which have made me smile.

And so, grab a cuppa, something nice to snack on and join me in this week’s little loves…

I have finally picked up my copy of Red Mag which arrived at the beginning of the month. I have tried to read my book rather than flick through a magazine but I couldn’t resist having a little look this week on my lunch breaks. I am so glad that I did as I saw a couple of really interesting articles and of course lots of fashion. I do enjoy reading what trends are going to be coming through for Spring. Back to the articles, this one on lifting products stood out – I need to seek out a product to help out a little with this. As I venture into my 38th year I am definitely losing the elasticity in my skin that I once had and I am refusing to have any form of plastic surgery, but there is a certain part of my face that is really starting to affect how I look at myself or how others see me.

Silent Witness is back on our planner and oh my goodness I am so happy. I LOVE this series so much. And as much as they have to deal with death, deceit and destruction I really think it would be such an interesting job. I also went to George’s drumming class with him over the weekend and watched him playing along to Supersonic, he’s trying so hard and it was amazing to watch him play along to actual music. His tutor was hoping he might be ready to play in a concert the music school put on in February but sadly he isn’t quite ready. Next year though.

Last week I popped Justin Timberlake’s new song Filthy in here, I later found out that it is one of the songs in the latest 50 Shades movie. Eek. And then, I heard For You – a collaboration between Rita Ora and Liam Payne’s on Radio 2 and this is also in the movie. I really cannot wait to see it, and more so get the album or should I say download it on Spotify. A friend and I have our tickets booked, double eek!

Do flat lays count? In all seriousness the light in the evenings just does not bode well to me taking photo’s of the scrummy food Mr H has been making. He’s been digging through Joe Wickes Lean in 15 books and making some really good food. In other news, I am really enjoying styling out some photo’s on my backdrop from Capture By Lucy (see above) as well as my bedsheets. Despite putting two new backdrops on on my Christmas list not one made it into my santa’s sack, I guess I just need to buy one for myself. I could buy several, they’re just so blooming gorgeous. Have you got any? Here are some that I styled out at the weekend…

Excuse me for gushing over this coat one more time. I may also be completely in love with this jumper and the bag. My brother in law picked it out for me as a Christmas present (which I may have hinted at) and oh my goodness I just love the cable strap and colour. Well of course I do it’s pink! But a little I think. Sadly the coat and bag are no longer available but I believe the jumper still is which is on my styles loves page if you fancy a snoop.

And lastly…

We have another weekend ahead of us just like last weekend which fills me with so much joy. I am so excited to enjoy slow starts, family time, a walk around out wrapped up in our winter woolies and quite possibly a lazy Sunday which involves a roast! And lastly, lastly don’t forget to join in with tagging your #MyFamilyAdventures over on Instagram. Have a great weekend little loves crew.

I have added this post to Morgana’s #LittleLoves over on her blog Coffee, Work, Sleep, Repeat.

I thought Red had some pretty good articles this month too, though I always forget them when it comes to writing my LittleLoves. We love Silent Witness in our house too and i agree it must be a fascinating if not a little gruesome job. Happy Birthday to Alfie and hope you had a wonderfully relaxing weekend x

I’ve just bought one of Lucy’s background and oh man, it took me forever to choose which one!
I gifted myself a subscription to Red magazine after reading your Little Loves last year. I’d always thought it was a magazine for more middle ages women *cough* but I love it! I don’t know if that’s because I’m getting older or whether my judgement had been wrong!! haha
Hope you’re having a good week lovely x

I really want a background but I keep looking and just can’t decide! I picked up my first copy of red recently and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I always thought it was aimed at older women but maybe it’s because I’m getting older now, haha!

There’s so many that I could buy. I picked mine up at Blogtacular last year so I could physically see it. Oh really? I love Red Mag, I love the fashion and interviews
