Snapshots & Scenes {November}

November was just as lovely as October – filled with blue skies, crisp winter like days and weekends taken at a pace we could all handle. I love everything about this time of year – well actually I dislike having to defrost the car at 6.30am but I guess that’s just one of the little things I’ll learn to live with for the love of winter. I say winter because despite it not meant to be here until December 21st I do think that it has arrived a little early this year just like Autumn. We have embraced it and enjoyed wrapping up in our winter woollies.

As we come to the end of the year I am so glad to have started this project and really looking forward to making more in 2018. I am amazed by how a few seconds here and there when brought together make something so magical. This month’s short film is a real blend of our days out throughout the month – we saw the fireworks at Alton Towers, enjoyed walks around the lake at Trentham Gardens, visited Lythan St Annes for a weekend, saw the sharks at the Sealife Centre in Blackpool and spent many an hour running on the beach and through the sand dunes. And lastly we visited the tree farm to pick out our Christmas trees.

One thing I haven’t mentioned is a little Christmas advert we were asked to be involved in, I’ve added a few of the outtakes and stills from the making of it towards the end of this post. We had so much fun and what a wonderful thing to have stored in our memory box. It certainly got us feeling all festive.

December seems to have crept up on us all this year. And despite having our little mans Christmas all wrapped up we’re a little behind on gifts for family and friends. Before I start looking forward it’s time I took a little look back at November and savour those memories before making more at my most favourite time of the year.

And just in case you were wondering, Snapshots & Scenes is a new monthly project that I am taking part in – along with a group of lovely bloggers. We have set up this little project to test our creative skills and to focus on telling a story through a short film centred around family life. Whether it is a day in the life, a holiday, a special moment, a day out or even just home life – interpret it as you like. And don’t forget to share your clips or favourite photos over on Instagram using the tag #SnapshotsandScenes.

We would love to see what you are sharing this month, and do make sure you pop by my co hosts – JennySara-Jayne, Mel & Chloe – and don’t forget to link up your own Snapshots & Scenes below with a little link back to where you found it.

    Oh wow Kerri-Ann, is it me or has G really grown up a lot this month. In that photo of him smiling straight at the camera, he looks like a little man rather than a little one (if that makes sense). Off to watch your video on your YouTube channel! xx
