Getting festive wth The Body Shop!

As the festive season is upon us my thoughts are turning to the Christmas party season and all things beauty. Tis the season to be jolly, and excited about your party make-up! I do love all the preparations for a night out, especially one so sparkly and festive. And so when the lovely people over at The Body Shop asked me to join in with their online Beauty Advent Calendar countdown in a bid to spread some festive cheer I couldn’t wait to share the details with you. And what a treat it is. I do love advent and even better when it is filled with make up brushes, tips and tricks and lets not forget a mince pie.

I don’t know what it is about this time of year but I always find myself adding a beauty product or two to my Christmas list, whether its make-up brushes, concealer, a pop of pink blusher – my little favourites from the previous year and if I am lucky something new too. As someone who has a birthday just a few days after Christmas I always have a back up list just in case the Big fella misses something. And when I say Big fella I mean Mr H.

My brushes have always been the foundations of my make-up bag although if truth be told in recent months and years I have neglected to replenish them, so when I was given the opportunity to choose my favourites from these Brushes and Tools I couldn’t resist picking out a few to update my collection. And here are my top picks…

No girl can go without a foundation brush, blusher brush and the trusty old brow & lash brush & comb. And I just love the finish on these brushes, and they feel so lovely on my skin which I think is ultimately most important as lets face it they are used regularly. The rest are definitely a few extra that I wouldn’t usually treat myself to but as I have my Christmas party in a few days I thought that they might actually come in handy. Which make-up brushes are in your collection?

The Body Shop have Christmas all wrapped up with their online advent calendar. Do pop over for a little snoop.
