A Disneyland Paris #LittleLoves

What a blooming great week. I mean how could it be anything other than magical, we are in Disneyland Paris after all. They say it’s where dreams come true and I can say for one little boy they have indeed. Our week started in London visiting all the sites and making full use of our Merlin annual passes in a bid to distract the boy and as this post goes live we will be enjoying our last day in the parks before making the journey home on Friday evening. Thankfully the Virgin Trains strike has been cancelled as in all honesty I was dreading the journey home.

Where do I begin? If I started at the beginning it would be a mammoth little loves and so let me summarise. Do you have coffee and something mickey shaped to eat? Let’s go…

Read…

We have been reading The Creakers at night with George which is Tom Fletchers latest book, we loved his first Christmasaurus and it would seen this is a hit too. I have been making my way through the Christmas Chronicles which I shared last week and love the middle just as much as the beginning. I’m hoping to finish it on the journey home, that is unless we’re all sleeping.

Watched…

So many amazing shows. The illuminations, the parades, the Christmas shows – they really do know how to put on a show. My favourite is always the parade however George loved the Disney Illunimations as Star Wars was displayed on the castle whereas Mr H loved the Goofy’s Christmas show over in the Studios. They were all incredible.

Heard…

Apart from all the Christmas songs and theme tunes to every Disney movie and show I have ever seen – I couldn’t pass this section without mentioning Georges reaction when we told him where we were going.

We were doing so well, Monday morning arrived where I very nearly told him but Mr H said no. He didn’t know where our next destination was just that we had to catch another train. We made it into St Pancras and through the queues and past all the Disneyland Paris signs (still no idea), showed our passports – still no idea and then as we went through the second passport control Mr H left his rucksack open and George spotted the surprise Goofy which we had had personalised for the journey – George’s Goof. He knows that dog anywhere!

And so as we sat in the departure lounge we surprised him. I wanted to film it and so a little crowd gathered. For those that might have seen on my Facebook page he played it super cool, figured it out with some prompts and then the emotion hit and he went in for a cuddle with Daddy. He cried, we cried, a lady and her mum were crying – business men were smiling at us and cooing. I am so glad that we kept it a secret, it was just lovely.

Made…

So many memories. From that first walk down Main Street, eating mickey shaped food, riding the big boy rides as he’s now over 1.2m, watching the shows and lastly meeting all of his favourite characters this boy has gone to sleep each night bursting with the Disney Magic. Six really has been a great year for him and our little family.

Wore…

Huge smiles on our faces, as well as all our winter gear. Hats, scarfs, cosy knits, thermals – all of the layers. At some points in each day it was blooming freezing and oh my goodness I officially dislike the rain. It rained solid each day, you know that annoying drizzle – yes that. Such a contrast to the bright blue skies we had last Christmas. No silky shots of the castle this year I’m afraid.

And lastly…

As we skip down Main Street one last time I do hope you’re all settling into the festivities and that all things work and school are done for another year. See you on the other side little loves crew and have a blooming great Christmas from our little family x x

I have added this post to Morgana’s #LittleLoves over on her blog Coffee, Work, Sleep, Repeat.

This is making me want to book another visit right away!!! Disney is such an amazing place, where as you say, all your dreams come true. You took some amazing shots KA, I especially love that first one of the back of George’s head and all the lights of disney blurred in the background.

Oh KA the photographs you’ve shared here are just beautiful and so colourful! They really depict the magic of Disney. What a shame about the drizzle though. It’s been like that here today and I HATE it! Not good for the hair lol! Glad you had an amazing time. xx
