Last weekend has to be one of my favourites from all of this year. Although as I typed those words I am sure I may have said that about a weekend a couple of week’s ago. It is definitely in our top five for sure. We visited Splash Landings, watched the most spectacular firework display on Saturday evening and enjoyed a winters walk on Sunday morning around the lake at Trentham Gardens. You know when a view takes your breath away and despite the cold you are so glad that you decided to head out despite the threat of rain?

There is nothing quite like wrapping up in your winter warmers, hot coffee in hand and heading out for a walk in the sunshine, thankfully the rain only made an appearance for a few minutes – the rest of our walk we were treated to the most gorgeous of blue skies. Don’t you just love that winter glow?

And so grab a cuppa and join me in this week’s little loves…

A lovely note from a friend who sent me a little bunch of flowers. It has been a really tough week here. Sometimes you just need to escape it all and so we are heading off to our happy place straight after school on Friday, the beach here we come.

Watched…

We watched the most spectacular fireworks display I have even seen. As we have annual Merlin passes and are so close to Alton Towers we thought we would head over to watch the display. Mr H and I were mesmerised by the show, it was like watching a Coldplay concert. The music, the strobe lighting, the effects and fireworks themselves blew me away. It was incredible. I took so many photo’s and haven’t had time to fully go back through them so I thought I should for this week’s little loves post.

Made…

A little video of our trip to Splash Landings. The boys love visiting a waterpark and so to remember how much fun they both have I thought I would capture it on film for us to look back on. He was finally big enough to go on the Master Blaster – I love his excitement as he waited patiently in the queue. What a fun couple of hours we had.

Wore…

I couldn’t resist all the mustard at the weekend for our walk around Trentham Gardens. I really love this headband from New Look, with it being wider than most headbands it feels like a hat but without the bulkiness.

And lastly…

We are off to stay at the lovely St Anne’s Beach Apartments this weekend. Of all the collaborations we are lucky to have bestowed upon us, this has to be one of my favourites. The apartments are such a treat, the view and the time together at the seaside is just what I need after this week. Chill out, drink a glass or bottle of wine and a walk a long the beach.

Have a great week #littleloves crew. I have added this post to Morgana’s #LittleLoves over on her blog Coffee, Work, Sleep, Repeat.
