I hadn’t imagined that a firework display would be as mesmerising as the one we watched over at Alton Towers last weekend. We’ve seen a few displays over the years, only two with our boy and in all honesty they’ve all been a little disappointing. Whereas the display we saw over at Alton Towers was nothing but spectacular. It was like watching a concert, there was music, strobe lighting and fireworks galore. The display went on for 25 minutes.
And most of all I hadn’t anticipated being able to capture the fireworks on my camera. I was quite literally flabbergasted when I downloaded the images. Quite proud of myself really. And I love love love the bokeh effect I managed to create, although completely accidental they are some of my favourites. I popped the camera on auto, stood in a relatively good spot, slightly elevated and with only a few bobble hats in front – I think they came out really well.
I am hoping that I manage to capture the fireworks when we visit Disney at Christmas time. I didn’t really try when we visited last December. I am going to try my best this year. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
