And suddenly the weekend is upon us, if truth be told I thought it would never arrive – this week has been long. Long, tiring and exciting in equal measure. We have been making plans for our big trip at Christmas and organising how we will spend our day in London before we catch the Eurostar. We hadn’t really thought about the fact that we can use our Merlin Passes when in London but as soon as we did we now have a full itinerary. I cannot wait to visit the Sea life Centre and to ride the London Eye. I blooming love this time of year, if not for the cosy knits, bobble hats and winter coats but also for the Christmas Preparations. And lastly, a big yes to a four day week and a long weekend with my boys.

And so join me in this week’s little loves, hopefully with a cuppa and a piece of rainbow cake…

Read…

I read an article a friend shared on Facebook all about walking away, not reacting to all the bad things, rising above the haters and remember that by reacting I am letting them win. And here it is, came just at the right doubt when a little bit of self doubt was creeping in – ‘I’m Slowly Learning That I Don’t Have To React To Everything That Bothers Me’.

Heard…

So much laughter as we wandered through the pumpkin patch. Oh how I love a family weekend, doing all the little things we love and being back in our PJ’s sooner after lunch on Sunday. A movie marathon, a box of popcorn and cosy blankets were the perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Watched…

Other than Our Girl – does anyone else fall in love with Elvis as soon as he comes on screen? We have been watching all the movies this week – Trolls, Sing, Elf, Rogue One, Once Upon A Christmas with Mickey himself. So many movies.

Made…

Our little family made the trip to Manchester on Saturday, such a great day and we all loved exploring the Museum. George said he had the best day and as we snuggled up on the train home he said family days are his favourite. The little sweetheart. How cool is T-Rex? I felt like we were on the set of Night In The Museum.

Wore…

I mentioned last week that I had picked up a few things and thankfully with the help of Mr H I managed to grab some photos of them at the weekend. One of my favourite outfits is this blazer, tee and denim skirt combination, I think you’ll see this appear on my grid a few times. As the weather was kind at the weekend I finally managed to wear my parka, I am in love with the pearl detail and really need to find a jumper with the same detailing to add to my collection. And let’s not forget my cosy hats, I have a huge obsession with winter hats and am head over heels in love with this turban style from New Look.

I have stepped way out of my comfort zone this week and filmed my first clothes haul vlog. You can find it over on my You Tube channel if you fancy a snoop. I hope to make more and share shorter sharper versions with you. I would love to know what you think?

And lastly…

This weekend I’ll be sharing our #MyFamilyAdventures over on the blog, a little round up of October. I have the lovely Laura from Little Ladies Big World joining me as co-host. Some of you may know her – do pop over and say hello. We will be sharing our favourites each month over on Instagram and would love you to join in this lovely community. You just need to either write a round up or link up a days out post or a post about what you have been up to in the month. Or feel free to add the tag #MyFamilyAdventures to your photos over on Instagram. I would love you to join us.

I have added this post to Morgana’s #LittleLoves over on her blog Coffee, Work, Sleep, Repeat.

Going to pop over and read that article you suggested I feel I am caring and reacting more to what people think as I get older. I love your pictures always so bright!! 3. I don’t think we’ve been to the Manchester Museum, no idea how! I think that means I need to take the girls there next week for sure. I love the sound of your long weekend. We’ve got a swimming gala and I’m singing at church so no lie ins for us *sob*. We’ll have to wait until Tuesday when we wake up in Edinburgh for Niamh’s birthday. Thankfully she’s past the age of getting up really early on her birthday, she’d much rather stay in bed a little longer!
