Me and Mine Family Portrait Project – September

You might have already noticed that there is one person missing from our photo’s for this month’s Me and Mine project. What with our doggy needing 24 hour supervision after his operation and Mr H spending every spare second preparing his best man speech and a wedding earlier in the month we just haven’t managed to grab some time to head out together when it the weather was dry as a family. Rather than miss out the month of September altogether I couldn’t resist a little photo shoot with my gorgeous boy who seems to have grown up so much lately. That’s ok right?

We escaped to the woods on Sunday and met up with the lovely Chloe from Picture Take Memory Maker and her gorgeous girls. She very kindly took some photos of George and I as part of her new photography venture – she’s so lovely and oh my goodness I love her camera. I love that I have made some lovely friends from blogging. Chloe is one talented lady and captured our relationship so well. I smiled so much when the photo’s came through, she caught some moments on camera that mean so much to me. How he holds my face with both hands when chatting to me – ‘mummy listen’ he says – it makes my heart melt so much and how much we laugh at each other when one of us does or says something goofy. I really hope he lets me pick him up for a little while longer. Oh George Archie please stop growing.

George is loving… Collecting conkers, a big boy sleepover at his friend Freddy’s, wearing his new winter coat and hat, running through the woods and scoring a header goal.

Mr H is loving… Celebrating two weddings this month for close friends, the new football season, George going up a level in his football class, watching a new series Tin Star and Mummy’s white hair.

I am loving… Cosy knits, Chelsea boots with my dresses, that we have booked a summer holiday for next year, styling autumn photos and seeing George push on in his drumming lessons.

And that’s a wrap on September, a month of so much laughter, stolen moments from such a busy month celebrating weddings, birthdays and milestones. October in comparison looks quiet, calm and relaxed with a Spa day thrown in for good measure. This time next month we will be wearing our winter coats that’s for sure. Have a great month Me and Mine crew.

For anyone new here, I have added this post to Lucy’s #MeandMineProject over on her blog Dear Beautiful.

Aah I loved reading this!! I haven’t done barely any Me and Mine posts this year. It’s the first year since it started that I haven’t joined in — I’ve still been religiously taking the photos, but I haven’t blogged about what we’ve been doing. There’s been SO much going on…. I can’t wait to get settled and start them up again. I hope your little dog is on the mend now chick xx

Ah You got that mustard M&S jumper!! I’ve had my eye on that for a while but being short it just doesn’t look as good on me. Such a great colour. I do love these Me and Mine posts, I haven’t done any this year and I’m really missing the pictures. These pics are gorgeous by the way xxx

Gosh what beautiful natural shots of you both! I’ve tried but have failed to wear the mustard yellow, I think it’s something about my complexion but it makes me look so washed out. Yellow no but I can do orange! Sounds like George is really growing up fast – a big boy sleepover??? xx
