A wedding, Pink love & a Poorly doggy #LittleLoves

It feels so long since I have joined in with a little loves round up. And despite this week being tough and filled with worry after our furry baby had a big operation on Wednesday I have really enjoyed looking for the little scenes of our week that I have loved. A friends wedding which left us dancing the night away, beautiful views over Lake Windermere a whole lot of love for all the pink dresses and leopard print, a cosy Sunday with my boys and the school run in the sunshine. Pretty perfect in some ways.

And so grab a cuppa and catch up on this week’s little loves…

I couldn’t resist sneaking in a moment or two whilst on doggy watch catching up on this month’s Red Mag when he was sleeping. I’m off to the hairdressers on Saturday so hopefully I’ll be able to finish it. Who doesn’t love an AW edition?

I couldn’t write this section without mentioning the GoT final, oh my goodness what a way to end the series but do we really need to wait 18 months? It feels a little unfair if truth be told. I tried to watch this week’s Bake Off episode but it just doesn’t feel the same since Sue, Mel and Mary left – I’m rather sad about that as it was always a show I looked forward to.

A little playlist on our way up to the lakes, we were rocking our way up the motorway to some songs Mr H found on spotify. Allow me a little indulgence as I share three with you… Debbie Jacobs, High on your love – Jessie Ware, Midnight and Joey Negro, Produced with love, Dancing into the Stars.

Mr H made beef stew and dumplings for us to devour on Sunday afternoon, the perfect hangover cure from the wedding celebrations on Saturday. We picked apples and Nanny made us a really scrummy apple pie for when we arrived home. I couldn’t believe how tasty it was or maybe it was the hangover. Ssshhhh don’t tell Nanny.

Pink and leopard print – a favourite combination. I have always loved pink, ever since I was a little girl pink has always been my most loved colour. Whether pastel, a baby pink with the cutest ruffles from Zara or a bright pink like this dress from Marks & Spencer. I received so many lovely comments on both dresses over the weekend, I am just living in hope that the sunshine returns so that I can wear them both again. I think pink is my colour.

And lastly…

I’m off to the hairdressers for a new look on Saturday, I’m quite nervous although equally excited about the change. The boys will be babysitting our furry baby in my absence, for ten days he can’t be left so quite literally we are on doggy watch or arranging babysitters if we have to head out. Cancer really does suck and I just hope that the vets give us some good news next week, paws crossed little loves crew.

Ah so sorry to hear about your doggy; having to wait for news must be excruciating 🙁 Pink is definitely your colour, I think it goes so well with blonde hair but you need the right skin colouring too. The wedding sounds fab – so nice to let your hair down every now and again isn’t it? Xx
