Gingham style…

The truth, fashion made me do it. But in all honestly who can say no to gingham and frills, sounds pretty, looks pretty cool. I am a little in love with these trousers. Ever since the gingham trend hit the catwalks in 2016 I have been desperately looking for a pair of trousers – they’re a must. Monochrome checks are my favourite, they look great with bold colours or even against something a little less bright. Although if I see a pink or blue shirt or even a skirt I may struggle to resist. There’s a gorgeous skirt in M&S that I have my eye on!

Adding a little gingham to your wardrobe is a must, 100% the new must have for me. It’s a classic style, its the perfect way to add a bit of colour and pattern to your summer wardrobe. Whether a shirt, skirt or even a dress – why not? A tip when choosing a trouser – I have noticed since trying a few pairs on that the length can make a real difference. I opted for an ankle grazer length, kissing the ankles so as not to cut me off just below the knee, choose wisely. You could stick with a tee and add a leather jacket for a different look or a feminine vest and sandal for walking the streets of Espana! That will be me in less than 70 days.

I added this mustard duster coat from Topshop and another season must have, a slogan tee. I love how the well these colours sit against each other, definitely my new go to outfit. How would you wear them?

If you’re looking to add a little gingham to your wardrobe then why not dip your toes in by adding a shirt, paired with a pair of jeans or khaki pants will look effortlessly chic. If you stick to black and white you’ll surprise yourself as to how good they look with a pair of trainers or even dressed up with a strappy block heel at night. But in all honesty they lend themselves well to be styled in so many different ways. And lastly, who doesn’t love a from day to night outfit.

What do you think of Gingham?
