Street art, Breakfast dates & Flying a kite #LittleLoves

As I write this weeks #LittleLoves post I have just squeezed five days of work into three, I left the house on Wednesday morning at 6.33am and if truth be told I don’t quite know how I am still awake. It was all worth it, the tiredness and the stress of those last few hours trying to tick everything off the to do list. Our car is packed and we are all so excited for a long weekend away together. As you read this post we will have just spent our first night in a camping pod, despite growing up enjoying family camping holidays in tents, I just don’t think I would enjoy it and so its a luxury version of camping for our little family. Fingers crossed the sun shines for us.

And so here are this week’s little loves…

The breakfast menu at Home Sweet Home. I’m sorry, I will try better next week. What with the worst Gin & Prosecco hangover followed by a crazy week at the office I haven’t really managed to read a thing other than my to do list. I did eat these yummy waffles which were so tasty, although on reflection I should have gone for a traditional English breakfast, Mr H’s was yummy, there’s something about a slice of toast and mopping up beans when you are hungover.

That would be our gorgeous boy being awarded his first trophy at his football club on Friday evening. I very nearly didn’t make it to the session, I am so glad that I did – it was such a special moment, see his little face was a moment I will remember forever. We also started to watch the new series of Car Share. Oh my goodness, what a giggle. And lets not forget watching our gorgeous boy fly his first kite.

A whole range of songs on Later with Jools Holland. I love that their is a nice blend of unknown artists as well as some much bigger artists.

Mr H made tacos which were oh so tasty. I was quite surprised by how simple they were and really delicious too, I often get a little tired of eating avocado but not in this combination.

A sunshine filled weekend wouldn’t be so without a pleated skirt. I picked this one up a couple of weekends ago from Sainsbury’s, a cheeky little sale buy but already I love it so much. I don’t have one as casual as this, and so its my new favourite. I also had a little pastel pink toner popped on to my hair at the weekend, I may be a little obsessed. And lets not forget my gorgeous boy – he loved baring his arms and legs on Sunday, I cannot believe how warm it was. Sadly we haven’t had another day like it yet, fingers crossed for this weekend.

And lastly…

I have this thing for street art, Mr H and I are always drawn to a painted wall – I love that we both have an appreciation for the arts. As we wandered around the Northern Quarter in Manchester on Sunday morning I couldn’t help but capture all the painted walls whilst we searched for a little breakfast spot.

I have added this post to Morgana’s #LittleLoves over on her blog Coffee, Work, Sleep, Repeat.

Thanks so much, my boys love it to which makes it easier to be all experimental. The weather that weekend was so dreamy

Love all that street art, I keep forgetting to take photos of some of the stuff we have here. Well done to George on his football award! Your hair is gorgeous, wish I was brave enough to add a pop of colour to mine. Have a great time camping x

We have had a great time thank you, you should try just popping a toner on as it is temporary so if you dislike it very quickly washes out

Ah well done to George on his football trophy. Your camping pod looked so comfy and those views were amazing. We used to camp lots when the kids were little, but we definitely need luxury now. we have glamping pods near us which have hot tubs. Love the street art in Manchester x
