Rolling down hills, Blossom & New nails #LittleLoves

It’s the weekend. For some reason this week I have really been looking forward to reaching today. The boy is definitely in need of a little break, free from routine before being thrown into sports club for a couple of days whilst we juggle childcare. For the first time since he started school I don’t feel guilty about the school holidays, I am sure the dreaded parenting guilt will be back in July ready for the big holidays but for now I am feeling quite content. Things seemed to have worked out.

And so here are this week’s little loves…

This month’s Red Mag made its way through my door – I was instantly drawn to this article in the well being section on Brain Fatigue. I am 37 years old and I am not ready to give up on being healthy just yet, whether that be in body or mind. I have been a bit naughty these last few weeks, allowed myself the treats I wouldn’t usually and on top of that slowed down on the exercise, eaten the wrong foods and I won’t lie I have been suffering with all these symtoms. And so, I quit – I kicked back in with my exercise and moved back to my clean eating and coffee with coconut oil to start my mornings. My body is hurting this week but already after nearly a week of being good I feel so much better for it.

We have so many series on the planner at the minute. Broadchurch, Billions, Big Little Lies, Walking Dead and my all time favourite Blue Bloods. I don’t think I could say which is my favourite as they are all keeping me intrigued – wondering who, what, why, when and how. Ooh I do love a good series.

That would have to be the chuckles from this gorgeous boy as he rolled down the hills on Sunday as we wandered around Trentham Gardens. Oh to be five years old and without a care in the world, I love seeing our little family adventures through his eyes.

Well thankfully my Red Mag arrived just in time! On Saturday morning in my hungover state from all the Gin and Prosecco I sat in the morning room eating this gorgeous fluffy white bread – which I haven’t done for nearly two years and then I read the article. White bread really is the devil, but do you know what it tasted so good, there was no guilt. Sadly, there will be no more white bread.

This gorgeous acorn necklace from Poppy Thorn which Amy sent to me. Do pop over to her feed on Instagram for a little snoop – she has recently set up a little business selling beautifully designed 3D gold and silver charm necklaces. I have the bumble bee too which Lil G seems to have taken a shine too. Years ago I was a statement jewellery kind of girl but in recent years its delicate necklaces and bracelets which catch my eye – and I love a little layering of necklaces too.

And lastly…

This time next week we will be enjoying our second day in Whitby, we have rented a Camping Pod for a long weekend and I am so excited to see it. Have you ever stayed in one? On another note Mr H and I are off to Manchester for the day and night on Saturday to celebrate a friends 30th birthday, usually when we go on a date day we catch the last train back just at the point I want to enjoy a little dance, not this time. And then breakfast on Sunday, any recommendations around the Northern Quarter in Manchester?

Have a great week little loves crew. I have added this post to Morgana’s #LittleLoves over on her blog Coffee, Work, Sleep, Repeat.

Those necklaces are so cute! That sounds like an article I need to read-me and the hubby have both commented recently about how sluggish we are feeling and he’s been so rundown. We’ve got ourselves into a rut! I’m trying to decide what series to get into now. I’ve got a couple on the go that I have to wait a whole week for the next episode and man that hard. Have a great weekend x

Love the nails and the color. I am getting into petite necklace too instead of my normal statement ones this season. Love the park photos so sunny. That rock wall climbing is amazing. I haven’t done that with the kids but looks ace. We all get parent guilt. Glad you aren’t feeling it this holiday hun. Hope you have a lovely Easter!!! #littleloves

Sounds like George has a fun packed Easter holiday ahead of him. Rather jealous of your trip to Whitby, I’ve always wanted to go. And a night in a hotel sounds perfect. Have fun! x

I’m totally with you on the switch from statement to delicate jewellery. I had a big pre-moving clear out this week and got rid of loads of my big necklaces… here’s hoping I don’t regret it!
You are so lucky to live so close to Trentham Gardens, I would be there all the time if I was close by! xx

Lovely jewelry. I don’t often wear much myself, more out of laziness than anything, but I do love a delicate chain and interesting detail. #littleloves
