Sunshine in my pocket

Waking up on Saturday morning to the clearest of blue skies, sunshine and the thought of not wearing a coat couldn’t have come at a better time. We were all desperate for some much needed Vitamin D and so we packed a picnic and took ourselves off to our favourite spot for a few hours. I think this first photo says it all really, for how relaxed and how happy it made us all feel.

This little boy has been desperate for the rain to stop so that he can head out with a football, and so that is exactly what we did. We had such a gorgeous few hours together and even ate our first ice cream. I just love how much he enjoys being outdoors, I’m so glad that sitting on an iPad wasting away his weekend isn’t how he chooses to spend his time. More so our time together feels so much more fun – there’s just so much to see and do outside. Don’t get me wrong we all enjoy a movie afternoon but not before a little adventure. Just like in the alphabet, Adventure comes first for our little family.

Here are a few more photo’s from our trip to the Adventure Park on Saturday…

I have added this post to Donna’s #LivingArrows over on her blog What The Redhead Said.

I need to get B some pronto he hates the sun on his eyes. You can tell in our family photos he is closing them after of them this month. πŸ™‚ Gorgeous post.

Aww he loves sunglasses, its really because he dislikes the sun in his eyes so as soon as the sunshine peeks through he hides away x
