This week has mainly been spent day dreaming about our little family break in St Anne’s and Lytham last weekend. We had such a lovely lovely couple of days and it came just at the right time, we needed some time together away from distraction and of course to celebrate Mr H’s birthday with lots of cake. Running through sand dunes, eating fish & chips on the beach and watching both the sunrise and sunset over St Anne’s beach really was the perfect way to spend a weekend. We were so blessed with the weather, the sun shone and the skies were so bright and beautiful.

And so are this week’s little loves…

Not much at all if truth be told, I just haven’t had the headspace this week. I do need to change that as reading and writing is something which helps me to switch off. I promise to be back next week with a much more interesting story to tell you here.

We’ve started to watch Billions Series 2, we both loved the first series and already we are hooked. Its a drama set in New York which is my favourite City, with gorgeous views and a story about wealth, influence and corruption – it is definitely our cup of tea.

We also watched the sunset over St Anne’s from our apartment last weekend, it was the perfect end to a beautiful sun filled day where blue skies stretched as far as the eye could see. I’ll be writing up a little review of our stay at the apartments in the next few days, it is safe to say that we are a little bit in love and hope to return soon.

So much laughter as our gorgeous boy ran through the sand dunes and lets not forget the moment Mr H and Lil G took a tumble down a hill, unplanned and oh my goodness it was so funny. If you want a chuckle for a few seconds you can watch it here, I think its one of those you’ve been framed moments.

We had these tasty Nutella and Ferrero Rocher cupcakes made for Mr H’s birthday. I would love to say we made them but it was my lovely friend Cathy who makes our sweet treats for us. They went down a treat with a cup of tea after a walk along the beach.

Strappy flats with no socks or tights in sight, oh I do love Spring. I may have purchased a new coat, I just couldn’t resist the colour and as it was in the last of the sale items at New Look it was a complete bargain too. I also wore my new grey sweater from H&M which I picked up a couple of weeks ago, perfect for this time of year.

And lastly…

I am really looking forward to a little rest and recuperation this weekend. I’ve worked such long days and weeks in my day job since the beginning of the year as well as the work I do here on this little online space in the evening. It is finally taking its toll on me – I need to slow down. I am tired, have huge bags, my skin is ageing at a rapid pace and I have mouth ulcers. On a more positive note I have a day with my gorgeous boy on Saturday, Mr H is off to Manchester with his friends on Saturday to celebrate his birthday -already we are planning a little sleepover in our big bed.

I hope you have a lovely weekend little loves crew.

I have added this post to Morgana’s #LittleLoves over on her blog Coffee Work Sleep Repeat.

  3. I love looking at your blog for its stunning photos. You were so lucky with the weather at St Anne’s, our seaside town has been shrouded in the sea mist this week. Nutella and Ferrero Rocher, now that’s a recipe I would like to lick the bowl for, hope they tasted as good as they look.

  6. What a perfect break – sunshine, a breeze and the seaside. Gorgeous. I hope you had a lovely family time together because I know that you live for those weekends. Love the sound of watching the sunset whilst sipping on a glass of wine. Sounds like you also got a wonderful bargain in New Look! I’m thinking of putting a ban on buying anything new in April, I’ve had such a spring wardrobe fling of late that I’ve got to starting reining it in! ss
