When looking back over 2015 and deciding what I wanted to do differently in the year ahead, I knew that improving my photo skills was high up on the list. Towards the end of 2015 I had started to develop a little passion for photography. I love to look back through my camera roll, at all our adventures and moments we share together as a family. Often with a cup of tea and a piece of cake, of course. It’s the perfect me time moment. I have my fitness but other than that I don’t have another hobby I can call my own. Mr H is only too happy to support me in my love for photographing absolutely everything and completely understands my obsession.
Mr H or should I say Santa, was very kind to me this Christmas and popped a new camera into my Santa’s sack, and so I now have the opportunity to learn a new skill. The art of photography, to experiment with pictures and hopefully to capture some beautiful moments of life as our little family along the way. A perfect way to explore. Find new adventures. My new hobby.
As part of that hobby I plan to capture a few photo’s on the first weekend of each month and join in with Clare’s little #HomeLifeProject from Maybush Studio. I have a lot to learn, but hopefully I will be able to bring you a collection of photo’s which tell a story over a day in the life of our little family. And here are this months photo’s…
There is nothing more I love than to take life a little slower. Not every weekend, just one in a while where it doesn’t matter if we leave the house other than to walk our furry baby which is exactly how this weekend went for us. For a few days now we have been enjoying lazy mornings, cuddles in bed and pretty much staying in our pyjama’s until one of us decides to get dressed. Often that is Lil G because he has decided to pop on one of his superhero suits. No day would be complete without a little Marvel action. For two years or more Lil G has had a little superhero obsession. I blame Mr H. At 35, nearly 36 years old he still has the same obsession. Apparently it’s a boy thing!
No weekend would be complete without a spot of baking and a nice cup of tea. It’s my birthday today (if you’re reading this on Monday that is) so I decided to make rocky road for my boys and my work colleagues. Of course it was important to have a little taste test! It was scrummy. I’ll be popping the recipe up on the blog soon so do look out for it.
Our day ended with a little walk out to get some fresh air and to give our furry baby a run. And let’s not forget the washing up before bedtime. Lil G has become very helpful of late. He’s soon learnt that by helping mummy and daddy a little his money box gets filled up with pennies! A parenting win I say.
