Sweet heaven – Quick & easy Rocky Road

Do I have a treat for you! I haven’t shared a recipe post in a while but after these little square bites of heaven got so much love over on Instagram I thought I would share them with you. I can’t promise you’ll only have one! Oops. What I can promise you is that they are the perfect way to use up all of the leftover Christmas chocolate. One chunk at a time. Quick to make and with so few ingredients they are sure to hold the attention of your littles. The biggest problem you’ll have is waiting for them to set in the fridge!

And so, here is what you’ll need…

  • 500g milk chocolate (I would increase to 600g if you want them to be oh so chocolatey)
  • 4 x mars bars (chopped into chunks)
  • 1 x share bag of malteasers (for extra crunch we used 1.5 bags)
  • 1 x bag of flumps or marshmallows
  • 1 x deep tray for setting

And here’s how…

  • Break the milk chocolate into chunks and melt on a slow heat, constantly stirring (keep your eye on it!)
  • Whilst the chocolate is melting chop the mars bar into chunks, 5 per bar to ensure the gooey goodness
  • Mix together with the malteasers and marshmallow in a mixing bowl, big enough to pour the melted chocolate over
  • Once the chocolate is melted pour over the mixture and stir
  • Once mixed pour into a baking tray and refrigerate until solid (2-3 hours)
  • Once solid cut up into chunks and keep refrigerated

It’s as simple as 1,2,3…

Hopefully you’ll find the perfect bite. A combination of all the gooey goodness in one chunk of chocolate heaven. Do let me know if you decide to make it. Enjoy. They really are yummy and a hit with everyone who has tasted them.

KA x

Bit of overkill with the ingredients, really not sure about having a Snickers bar in it though Malteasers could replace the digestives I use. Never used milk chocolate preferring plain. My biggest problem is it looks good tastes nice but my teeth object to so much sweetness. Must admit yours looks nice
