A few week’s ago I wrote a post entitled What’s the story. I enjoyed pulling it together so much that I thought I would start a little series here on my blog. I might write it weekly, monthly or just when the mood takes me. And just like that here is my second What’s the story post, sharing our adventures from the weekend. Invariably in more pictures than words!

For those that read my blog will know that I wear my heart on my sleeve. I write about what makes me happy, what makes me sad, the special moments, the ordinary moments and the little bits that capture the essence of life as our little family. Being Lil G’s mummy makes me incredibly happy. And no more so than when I am blessed to spend a whole day with my gorgeous boy. Mr H went off to the football and this is what we got up to on a rather beautiful autumnal Saturday.

A little walk around our local park, a kick of the ball (of course), a spot of lunch followed by a bath by candle light…

As we woke on Sunday the weather couldn’t have been more different. The beautiful blue skies from the day before had been replaced with a rather grey and rain filled sky. As the heavens opened and the windows filled with rain we decided to start the day as all Sunday’s should, snuggled up in bed watching a movie. Three in the bed snuggles are simply the best. Mr weatherman was certainly trying his hardest to ruin our chances of leaving the house so in a bid to at least get dressed we decided to take ourselves off to the Trafford Centre to indulge ourselves or should I say our friends and loved ones in a little Christmas shopping, and off we went.

All good Sunday’s involve tea, cake and a roast dinner don’t they? Best of all in that order! Rules are meant to be broken after all! And that’s a wrap, another weekend has flown by, if only there was a pause button as I’m not quite ready for it to be over. And that’s another What’s the story post complete.

What’s your story?

  1. Aw this is a lovely post. I must have missed the first one you did. Your pictures are always so vibrant and a pleasure to look at. You sound as if you have had a mixture of being busy and relaxing. It sounds very similar to our weekend, though with the miserable weather today I have not left the house. We are off to the Trafford Centre in 2 weeks. Just the hubby and I. I need a visit to the Cath Kidston shop xx

    • Thank you Tracey that’s a lovely thing to say. Ooh you must visit, it has its own store just to the right of Selfridges now too x

  2. Oh what a lovely way to spend the weekend, and captured in such gorgeous photos. It sounds like the perfect mix of inside and out and Cath Kinston – what more could you want!
