New dresses, Spectre & Lazy Mornings #LittleLoves

I don’t know about you but I am ready for the weekend. To cosy up under a blanket with my winter PJ’s and socks on. To drink copious amounts of tea. The weather has really turned this week and I can’t help but feel like I want to hibernate. The thought of watching a movie, snuggled up with my boys and watching the wind and rain from the comfort of our bed or sofa sounds so appealing. Although for now I am quite excited for it to be Friday. This is my day to be a School Mum, I get to walk my gorgeous boy to School. To walk hand in hand rather than leave him at his care club who have the pleasure of taking him four days a week. Today it is my turn.

And here are this weeks Little Loves…

I’ve been reading up on some recipes for Christmas cakes and cookies. As part of my new and rather grown up role on the PTFA, I suggested we held a little school festive bake off to be judged on the night of our Christmas Fayre. Eek. Lil G and I made these Snowman cookies last year for his Kindergarten teachers which I think we can improve on with the addition of scarfs! I’m also tempted to make these Christmas tree brownies I found on Pinterest…

Mr H and I went on a little date night on Friday to see Spectre. We really enjoyed the movie. Same blue print really although with a little more of a romantic theme running through this one. I’d say its more for the ladies than the men this one!

I also watched Lil G take part in his first bowling birthday party. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him enjoy a party as much as he did on Saturday. The hi fives from rolling his pin down the alley, the cute little shoes and let’s not forget the birthday cake. Such a little cutie.

The new 1D song and Lil G singing along ever so sweetly. He is a huge fan. I’m amazed by how quickly he picks up the words and melody. He’s a little cutie. As are they of course! Secret or not so secret 1D fan here.

We have made the final plans for our Christmas adventures. A little tenuous link I know! Since Lil G was born we have always made the effort to have some kind of festive outing as a family each weekend in December. This year feels like it could be the best yet! It’s just the perfect way to build his and our excitement. Let’s not forget the adults! We have our Christmas shopping all wrapped up before the end of November so that we can truly enjoy the build up to the big day.

This year we are visiting Blithbury Reindeer Lodge for the first time. I think I’m looking forward to it the most. The thought of some festive fun really does fill me with a lot of joy. I’ve written a little Christmas Preparations post if you fancy a snoop at what we have planned!

A little Leopard print for a date night with Mr H…

I picked up this cardigan from the Zara ‘special prices’ range, £7.99 folks and I absolutely loved wearing it. I think I’m going to pop it on with one of my dresses this weekend.

And this gorgeous dress from Laura Ashley for our Sunday adventures, I’m just a little bit in love with this outfit…

And lastly…

We are off to our local Christmas Tree Farm this weekend to pick out our trees. The farm opens its doors on Saturday and the one thing we have learnt over the years is to be early in the choosing! We want to pick out the best after all. It’s become a tradition of our little family over the years and to see Lil G’s excitement building for this weekend makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. And yes I know I sound Christmas crazy, we are *loud and proud*.

Have you started any Christmas preparations as yet?

Have a lovely weekend.

KA x
