Story Stones by Lou : Review

One word… Amazing.

Two words… Creative. Imaginative.

That would be these beautiful Story Stones by Lou. As Albert Einstein once said The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination. Lil G loves imaginative play, he loves to create his own little world around his toys and I love nothing more than to watch this happen. So, when we stumbled across them we couldn’t have thought of a better product to review.

These little stones are beautiful. Handcrafted and perfect for encouraging your little ones to use their creativity and imagination. They are so colourful and engaging. And as there are so many sets to choose from or even to create your own, you and your littles won’t be disappointed. Whether it be fairytale, superhero, pirates, numbers or stones that match a favourite story like The Very Hungry Caterpillar you can be sure they will provide hours of play. More importantly and the reason why we are so impressed, is that they also encourage the development of many learning areas.

Lil G is fast approaching School age, he is currently on a pre-school preparation plan which involves numbers, letters, colours, identifying shapes and reading. All of which are covered by these stones. And as they mirror one of his favourite stories, the learning is fun. Parenting wins!

The story stone sets make gorgeous little gifts. They are perfect for boys and girls and if your little one is anything like Lil G then they will only encourage their little imaginations to embark on a creative story telling adventure. In my opinion any day that begins and ends with a story is a pretty fantastic one.

In the words of the creator of these pretty fantastic stones; Story stones are a fun and educational tool that will provide endless opportunities for imaginative and creative play for children aged 2 years and up.

In my words. We are very happy with them. Highly recommended. They are absolutely perfect for Lil G’s current learning. I only wish we had come across them sooner. I love that they come in a bag which is easy to transport. That they are so bright and truly unique. I have trawled the internet searching for quirky little educational tools to help with Lil G’s learning and as there are so many sets I can see us making another order very soon! Well, it is Lil G’s birthday soon.

Which set would you order? I think we’ll go for the pick & mix and the new alphabet set. Sssshhhh don’t tell Mr H!

* Disclosure: We were gifted these stones in exchange for an honest review. We loved them and would highly recommend them. Whether it be for learning or fun. Enjoy!

They really are gorgeous. Some of the characters on the etsy site are sooooo good you just couldn’t replicate them unless you are a secret artist! The lady who makes them is a pre school/nursery teacher. Very talented lady indeed x
